One of the most fascinating aspects of Trump Derangement Syndrome is that its sufferers become the exact thing they claim that Trump is.

Men between the ages of 17 and 45 who leave Germany for more than three months must obtain permission from the German Armed Forceshttps://t.co/oAD2qxsVaZ https://t.co/L2BTVExDgM— Stefan K. (@Nighttiger1) April 4, 2026
Germany is now restricting travel for all men aged 17-45. If they plan to leave Germany for more than three months, they must seek permission from the German Army.
What do you want to bet that migrants are excluded? I would place that likelihood at 100%, meaning that migrants will get free room and board, the ability to rape and pillage with abandon, and more freedom than German men.
German men of fighting age must ask the army for permission to leave the country for more than three months, under new rules on military service.
The government has introduced a new military service scheme this year that stops short of conscription but requires men born from 2008 onwards to take a medical exam and fill in a survey about their fitness for service.
It has emerged that a clause in the law also requires men aged between 17 and 45 to obtain a permit from the Bundeswehr, the German armed forces, before leaving the country for extended periods.
Germany is rapidly remobilising and rearming, with plans to expand its conventional army in the face of threats from Russia and a possible break-up of Nato.
The purpose of the new rule in Germany is to restrict the movements of men of fighting age in the event of a national crisis such as a war, which may require emergency conscription.
I can just imagine what liberals would be saying if Trump did this. Fascism! But in the literal home of the worst fascists, this is seen as preparation for sticking it to Donald Trump.
Ah, but remember, they live in a “full democracy” and we live in a “dictatorship”.
⁰I’m sure the people who make the freedom and democracy indexes will be updating them immediately. https://t.co/YPMKTCnqfo— Nayib Bukele (@nayibbukele) April 4, 2026
Because it sure looks like NATO countries are looking to have a divorce with the United States.
Germany’s new military service model was introduced to counter a severe shortage in troop numbers and is a modernised version of an unpopular conscription model that ended in 2010.
Friedrich Merz, the chancellor, has a wider goal of transforming Germany into a major European security power with what he hopes will become “the strongest conventional army in Europe”.
Germany has also pledged to spend €153bn (£133bn) or 3.5 per cent of annual GDP on defence by 2029 as part of a long-term goal of meeting a 5 per cent Nato target.
It’s becoming clear that the UK, France, and Germany have decided that it is too much trouble having to deal with Donald Trump, so they are looking to strike out on their own. There have been rumblings for quite a while, but now Emmanuel Macron is talking about creating an alliance to stand up to the United States, which he sees as a bully.
NOTED. 👀

To be fair, the US has been bullying the Europeans of late, since asking them nicely to step up and take a bit of responsibility for their defense hasn’t worked for any president since Clinton. They have been freeloaders and, in fact, have been bullying us with regulations on Americans’ speech and demands for ESG. The transnationalists in Brussels and Davos have succeeded in bullying the US into submission on economic matters for some time, and are shocked that Trump has had the balls to say no and make demands of our own.

France is cutting deals with Iran behind our backs, multiple countries are now denying the US the use of our bases on their territory, and the leaders of these countries are so inexperienced in military matters that they truly believe that they are prepared to defend themselves if threatened, despite having hollowed out their militaries.
As Mark Rutte says, “You’re dreaming.”
🚨 HOLY SMOKES. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte just dropped MAJOR TRUTH NUKES on Europe, siding with Trump and saying they NEED America to survive

One variable I am pretty sure they haven’t thought much about is how tolerant their populations will be of the massive and immediate drain on public finances this will cause. Already, these countries have been hollowing out their economies, focusing on a fantastical and expensive green energy transition that has raised energy prices and caused deindustrialization.
Israel had already announced it will no longer sell its high-tech defense and military hardware to France, and now UAE announces it’s not funding the new French fighter jet.
Good for Israel and UAE on their proper responses to President Macron’s treachery in supporting Hamas… https://t.co/wEGz7BsuVL

They have essentially no logistics capabilities outside what the US provides them, and very little naval power. The UK can’t even fire off its nukes without US aid, since the missile launchers are leased from America.
Sec. Marco Rubio calls out NATO,

The irony is that if NATO countries had followed Trump’s advice and stepped up their military spending years ago, everybody would be stronger. Instead, for ego reasons, these countries are acting like teenagers threatening to run away from home.

That never works out well.
