The fashion magazine Glamour UK released its 2025 “Women of the Year” cover Wednesday, featuring zero women.
There’s a fat guy. There’s a skinny Asian guy. There are guys with long hair and guys with fake boobs. The magazine cover features a total nine men poorly masquerading as women, all wearing shirts reading, “Protect the Dolls.”
“Doll” refers to transgender-identified men who attempt a feminine appearance. The men featured bill themselves as models, activists, influencers. One is a “communications officer.” Another, a DJ. Truly an admirable crop of dudes. Where are the firefighters in wigs? The neurosurgeons with foot-long nails?
Nine biological men being declared ‘Women of the Year’ by Glamour magazine is beyond parody even by ludicrous woke virtue-signalling standards… and, I suspect, the beginning of the end for Glamour magazine. pic.twitter.com/1w2ZZ64dbn

“On the day of our shoot, most of the cover stars pointed out that the main way you protect a doll is to book one: more than just affection, trans women need employment, opportunities and money to enjoy true security and autonomy,” writes Shon Faye for Glamour UK. Transparent grifting. But what else would we expect from men whose entire identity is pretending to be women?
“What it seems we really crave is to work, love and exist with dignity and, more broadly, the opportunities to thrive,” Faye argues. Faye is also a man who identifies as a woman.
Your opportunity to “exist with dignity” as a man evaporates at about the moment you sew fake breasts on your chest.
Author J.K. Rowling rebuked the magazine cover on X, writing, “I grew up in an era when mainstream women’s magazines told girls they needed to be thinner and prettier. Now mainstream women’s magazines tell girls that men are better women than they are.”
It’s always hilarious when wokeness misfires in this manner.
Putting aside the sickening nature of this entire experiment, does this cover feel a little passé to anyone else?
Glamour magazine named Bruce Jenner one of its “Women of the Year” in 2015. Transgenderism was emerging as the left’s new civil rights frontier. “Misgendering” was a capital offense. Pronoun discourse was only just kicking off in earnest.
A decade later, the movement appears to have crashed and burned. Not without mutilating thousands of young people. But rates of transgender-identification among the young are declining. Democrats are clumsily attempting to shove “cultural issues,” including cross-sex identification, into the background. (RELATED: America’s ‘Non Binary’ And ‘Trans’ Community Falling Apart At Seams)

And Don Lemon is using “trans” as an insult now.
The multinational edition of Glamour chose six (genuine) women for their 2025 Women of the Year. Six sufficiently diverse women, of course, but six women nonetheless.
