The House GOP Oversight Committee asked the Washington, D.C., Board of Medicine Tuesday to discipline former President Joe Biden’s doctor, including by revoking his medical license after he allegedly hid Biden’s health decline.
In a letter to D.C. Board of Medicine Chair Dr. Andrea Anderson, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer recommended a formal review of Biden’s longtime physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, focusing on his conduct during his tenure as White House doctor.
“The Committee believes that Dr. O’Connor likely misled the American public and otherwise violated the provisions of the District of Columbia code,” the letter states. “If Dr. O’Connor was aware of any cognitive issues suffered by President Biden, then it is likely he knowingly concealed those issues. Whether that was due to President Biden being a long-time patient, a friend, a business partner, or simply to help President Biden get reelected, the American public will likely never know, unless the board of medicine does a proper, extensive investigation and review.” (RELATED: Kevin O’Connor Pleads The Fifth In Biden Competency Deposition)
Comer cited the Committee’s report, “The Biden Autopen Presidency: Decline, Delusion, and Deception in the White House,” which outlines the findings from the investigation into President Biden’s mental decline and growing dependence on the autopen.
Based on 14 depositions and interviews with key Biden aides, the report alleges that the president’s advisors and physician concealed his mental and physical decline while exercising presidential authority without his approval and misusing the autopen.
The letter also cites multiple public incidents of Biden stumbling and notes that a Parkinson’s specialist visited the White House eight times over eight months. Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to clarify those visits, citing “security concerns,” according to the letter.
Additionally, the letter points to the board’s authority to discipline physicians in D.C. who “engag[e] in conduct in their practice that is unprofessional or creates a deleterious impact on the public’s impression of the profession.”

The report highlights calls from medical professionals for Biden to undergo a cognitive assessment, including former White House physician and Republican Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson, who sent around five letters to the White House urging such an exam. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Rep. Ronny Jackson Accuses Biden Doctor Kevin O’Connor Of Sexual Misconduct)
It also cites former White House physician for Barack Obama, Dr. Jeffrey Kuhlman, who has long supported cognitive testing for presidents and stated that “Biden would have benefitted from such a test given his age.”
The letter further claims that O’Connor’s lack of candor and cooperation has had a “deleterious impact on the public’s impression” on the medical profession.

O’Connor told aides the then-president could end up in a wheelchair if he suffered another fall, leading staff to implement precautions such as shortening his walking routes, ensuring he used handrails on stairs, and having him wear sneakers for stability, Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson wrote in “Original Sin.”
Ahead of the election, Biden’s aides attributed his unsteady gait to a foot fracture from November 2022 — an injury O’Connor had previously stated was fully healed, Axios reported. (RELATED: KJP Rages At Democrats Over Their Public ‘Betrayal’ Of Biden)
During his deposition before the committee, O’Connor invoked his Fifth Amendment right when questioned about Biden’s mental health, his capacity to perform the duties of the presidency, and any potential wrongdoing in his medical care — including whether he had been requested to issue false or misleading medical reports.
