Vice President Kamala Harris is raising eyebrows within her own party for staying in Washington, D.C., instead of hitting the campaign trail in key battleground states.
As reported by The Daily Caller, Harris is spending time in D.C. conducting interviews with Telemundo and NBC News, which are set to air Tuesday evening.
Kamala is taking all of today off to prepare for two pre-taped interviews with NBC and Telemundo and is taking all day tomorrow off to prepare for a CNN town hall.
President Trump is doing multiple events per day: Rallies, interviews, roundtables. The guy isn’t stopping.

This choice has some Democrats questioning her strategy, especially as she lags behind former President Donald Trump in crucial swing states.
Mark Halperin, a political analyst for Newsmax, weighed in on the situation during an appearance on “Wake Up America.”
He noted that Harris’ decision to stay in Washington is puzzling, given the critical phase of the campaign.
“Look, if she loses, there’ll be a lot of second-guessing of all sorts of decisions they made. And one of them will be what has been a light schedule,” Halperin said.
He pointed out that Harris is trailing Trump, and her campaign can’t afford to “run out the clock.”
According to Halperin, Harris’ choice to remain in Washington could be driven by her desire for more preparation time for interviews, including an upcoming town hall.
However, he stressed that many Democrats are scratching their heads over why she isn’t out on the trail with just two weeks left in the race.
“I think a lot of it has to do with the amount of preparation time she wants and requires for the interview she’s doing today, for the town hall she has coming up, but there is head-scratching amongst Democrats, two weeks to go, someone who’s fighting for the presidency, and she’s spending the day in Washington.”
“Kamala Harris, she’s taking the entire day off. She’s going to spend all day just to prepare for an NBC interview, which will be taped.”@TTuberville: “I think they’re just trying to keep her off camera to be honest with you. She’s been a disaster.” pic.twitter.com/xTWJlUVT7R

Halperin further noted that some Democrats, including members of Harris’ own staff, are expressing concerns about her campaign strategy. They fear that her light schedule could backfire, especially in the critical final days of the campaign.
Halperin also criticized Harris for missing opportunities to engage voters in swing states like Pennsylvania. “You’d think she’d jump on the Amtrak and head up to Philadelphia,” he said.

While Harris may be hoping that her national interviews will generate enough media coverage to fill the news cycle, Halperin warned that her time in D.C. could come under scrutiny if she loses.
“People are going to go over her schedule and wonder why she took so many days in Washington,” he said.
Harris has already faced criticism for her lackluster campaign performance.
💀 OMG. Trump is going OFF on Kamala right now.
“She’s off [the campaign trail today]? I can’t get over it. Who the hell takes off when you have 14 days left She’s lazy as hell. She’s got that reputation.”

During an October 8 appearance on The View, she struggled to distinguish her potential presidency from Biden’s, saying that nothing “comes to mind” when asked how she would govern differently.
Halperin believes that this misstep only added to her campaign’s struggles. “That one answer, I think probably, on balance, net did more harm for her than any good that’s come out of these interviews,” he concluded.
