As the 2024 election enters its home stretch, Vice President Kamala Harris appears to be grasping for any votes she can muster, and her latest endorsement comes from an unexpected corner.
Violent J, the frontman of the controversial rap duo Insane Clown Posse (ICP), has thrown his hat in the ring for Harris.
In an appearance on The Daily Show, J expressed his backing for the Vice President, making headlines for this out-of-the-ordinary political alignment.

As reported by Trending Politics News, The segment, hosted by comedian Troy Iwata, explored a lighthearted idea: Juggalos, the passionate fans of ICP, possibly becoming a new voting bloc in swing states like Ohio.
While most of the Juggalos interviewed at their annual Gathering of the Juggalos festival in Thornville, Ohio, voiced little interest in politics, Violent J’s endorsement of Harris stood out.
He summed up his reasoning bluntly: “I want her to win because she’s a Democrat, and I love my mom.”

Harris, clearly aiming to court unconventional or disenfranchised voters, may see this as an opportunity to capture a fringe group’s support.

However, the majority of Juggalos seem indifferent. Many festival attendees interviewed expressed disdain or apathy towards the political process.
“Juggalos don’t get involved in politics,” one attendee declared, while others echoed similar sentiments of distrust toward politicians.
For those unfamiliar, Violent J, whose real name is Joseph Bruce, is one of the founding members of Insane Clown Posse, a rap duo known for their shock value and controversial lyrics.
ICP’s dedicated fanbase, the Juggalos, are notorious for their rejection of societal norms, often donning clown makeup and attending the group’s annual Gathering of the Juggalos, a chaotic music festival.
Despite the endorsement from Violent J, whether Harris can translate this into actual votes remains highly questionable.
Juggalos are typically skeptical of politicians, with a history of rejecting authority and the establishment—values that don’t neatly align with the mainstream Democratic platform.
Even if a few Juggalos connect with Harris’s policies, getting them to the polls is another battle altogether.
Commentators have already begun mocking the Harris-ICP connection, seeing it as another sign of desperation within the Democratic camp.
Whether this bizarre endorsement leads to votes or is simply a publicity stunt remains to be seen as the election nears.
