Hillary Clinton Pops Her Head Out To Wag Her Finger About Christianity … Or Something

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is stepping back into the public sphere to lecture us about empathy. 

“When I first saw the video of the killing of Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital, I immediately thought of the parable of the Good Samaritan. Federal agents shot Pretti after he tried to help a woman they had thrown to the ground and pepper-sprayed. Jesus tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves and help those in need. ‘Do this and you will live,’ he says. Not in Donald Trump’s America,” begins Clinton in a Thursday op-ed for The Atlantic.

You can pretty easily pull scripture to condemn Pretti’s behavior in the moments and days before his death. Pretti allegedly spit on and harassed federal agents days before his death, according to a video posted by The News Movement’s Dan Ming. 

See: “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.” 

Or: “Jesus said, ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.’”

Clinton claims the Trump administration has rejected “bedrock Christian values such as dignity, mercy, and compassion[.]” I suppose that’s in contrast to the Biden administration’s fulfillment of bedrock Christian values, such as flooding the country with illegal aliens, some of whom would go on to murder or rape U.S. citizens. Clinton warns about an “extreme vision of Christian nationalism that seeks to replace democracy with theocracy in America.” Clinton doesn’t seem to object to theocracy in principle. She reportedly had a “friendly conversation” with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday. 

The Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Clinton Foundation received $10 million to $25 million from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The New York Times (NYT) reported in 2016. 

Trump objected to the Clintons’ Saudi ties in 2016, reportedly writing on Facebook, “Saudi Arabia and many of the countries that gave vast amounts of money to the Clinton Foundation want women as slaves and to kill gays.”

“Hillary must return all money from such countries!”

The William J. Clinton Foundation received between $10 and $25 million from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, CNN reported in 2008. Also on the list of donors, according to CNN: The governments of Kuwait and Qatar and Saudi billionaire Nasser Al-Rashid, who reportedly has close ties to the Saudi royal family.

“[P]raying as a Christian, even in the privacy of a home, is treated as a felony offence,” according to National Review Online’s The Corner Blog.

“We are traumatized by the strip search. They treated us like dogs because of our Christian faith. While talking about me during a recent visit to the prison medical center, I overheard a nurse telling a doctor ‘if she dies, we will put her in a trash bin,” said an Ethiopian Christian woman, arrested with 34 others while working in Saudi Arabia in 2011. The woman was officially charged with “mixing with the opposite sex,” but, says The Corner Blog, “the real reason is that they were praying as Christians.”

“When I see brutality like we’ve all witnessed in Minnesota, I ask myself: Can I really find empathy for people who insist on dehumanizing others? I’m not sure, to be honest. This is a fairly honest admission from a woman who has never been renowned for her empathy. Former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton have refused to testify in the House of Representatives’ Jeffrey Epstein investigation, despite speculation about the nature of Bill Clinton’s relationship with the convicted sex offender.

Recall, Clinton is the same woman who declared, “You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables,” while on the campaign trail in 2016. “Right, the racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, islamophobic, you name it.” 

“I still believe intolerance and hatred are deplorable. Slandering a peaceful protester and cheering his murder is deplorable. Terrorizing children because their parents are undocumented is deplorable. But as a Christian, I also aspire to see the goodness in everyone and believe that everyone has a chance at redemption, no matter how remote,” writes Clinton. All Clinton has to offer are tired platitudes and vacuous euphemisms. I’d urge the Democrats to give her another shot at the presidency in 2028. What could go wrong?
