President Donald Trump’s Border Czar, Tom Homan, isn’t holding back.
The seasoned immigration enforcer ripped into a federal judge for blocking the administration’s efforts to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for certain foreign nationals—a status Homan says has been abused and extended far beyond its lawful limits, as reported by The Independent Journal Review.
In an interview with “Fox & Friends” co-host Lawrence Jones, Homan, who’s been in the immigration game since the Reagan years, made it clear: TPS was never designed to be a permanent fixture.
“It’s another activist judge making a stupid ruling. It just doesn’t make sense. I’ve been around since 1984, Lawrence, and the TPS—Temporary Protected Status—is never temporary.”

Homan pointed out what many Americans already know: President Trump is doing exactly what he said he’d do—restore order at the border and enforce immigration law as written.

No apologies. No games.
“President Trump is going to do his job by rule of law. The law says temporary status. Once the conditions in that country change, then people should be removed from the United States.”

The problem, as Homan sees it, is judges who think their robes come with law-writing privileges. “It’s not based on law,” he said of the recent ruling.
“It’s based on opinion.”
According to Homan, these activist judges ignore legislative intent and stretch temporary relief into years, even decades, of residency.
Homan explained that TPS has a clear, common-sense purpose: to help people temporarily displaced by crises like natural disasters or wars.
“If there’s a hurricane and it devastates a part of the country, we’ll give them TPS until that country gets back on their feet. But TPS is not meant to be decades long.”
That clarity has been lost under years of abuse by open-border policies and court decisions that chip away at national sovereignty. Homan made it plain: this administration won’t stand down. “We’ll litigate it, and we’ll appeal, and we’ll win,” he declared.

It’s a fight over more than just TPS—it’s about whether the law of the land still means anything, or whether unelected judges can override the will of the people. Homan and President Trump are siding with the rule of law. And thankfully, they’re not backing down.
