Rep. Lisa McClain sharply criticized Democrats and protesters over what she described as efforts to defend illegal aliens convicted of serious crimes across multiple Michigan cities, citing recent enforcement actions by the Department of Homeland Security.

“DHS has pulled an illegal alien out of Zeeland, Michigan, convicted of sexually exploiting a minor. This guy, this is who the protesters and the Democrats are defending, an illegal who is here who has been convicted, convicted, I might say, of sexually exploiting a minor,” McClain said.

McClain said she was stunned by what she characterized as a lack of public outrage over the case.

“I don’t know why you all aren’t angry about that. I’ll share with you it just it is unfathomable to me,” she said.

She pointed to additional cases in other Michigan communities, listing convictions that included larceny, sexual assault, and homicide.

“In Grand Rapids, they got a guy convicted of larceny and sexual assault in Ypsilanti Jackson in Detroit in Holland, Pontiac, DHS found deported illegal aliens committed of homicide, murder,” McClain said.

McClain described the individuals referenced in those cases in stark terms.

“These folks are monsters, and you have Democrats that are advocating for them to get released back into your communities. Why aren’t you reporting and why aren’t more people outraged? I don’t get it. I got to share with you. I don’t get it,” she said.

The congresswoman said she believes the focus should be on the crimes committed rather than criticism of federal immigration agents.

“These folks are monsters. They’re criminals. They murder, they sexually assault young women, minors and and you know what the Democrats want to do? Let’s release them in your communities, and let’s celebrate the criminals. Let’s villainize the ICE agents and celebrate the people who are raping your children,” McClain said.

Her remarks centered on recent DHS enforcement actions in Zeeland, Grand Rapids, Ypsilanti, Jackson, Detroit, Holland, and Pontiac, where illegal aliens with criminal convictions were located and removed.

McClain framed the issue as one of public safety and accountability, questioning why, in her view, more attention was not being directed at the nature of the crimes involved.

“I don’t know why you all aren’t angry about that,” she repeated, referencing the Zeeland case involving sexual exploitation of a minor.

Throughout her comments, McClain maintained that individuals convicted of serious crimes, including sexual assault and homicide, should not be released back into communities and that immigration enforcement actions targeting those offenders should not be opposed.

“These folks are monsters,” she said again, emphasizing her opposition to what she described as efforts to advocate for their release.
