Houston We Have a Problem: ICE Arrests Multiple Criminal Illegal Aliens over the Last Two Weeks

0

It’s been a busy two weeks for ICE agents in Houston. Five bad hombres have been arrested, thanks to the efforts of fugitive operations officers from the federal Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Houston and the ERO Waco office.

All five men are currently wanted for murder or homicide in the United States or in another country.

A press release issued by ICE described the criminal illegal aliens. They are Mexicans and Hondurans.

  • A 38-year-old unlawfully present Honduran national wanted in Mexico for multiple murders who was apprehended on May 23 in Galveston. The arrest was made by ERO Houston fugitive operations officers after they received information from the National Criminal Analysis and Targeting Center indicating that the noncitizen was illegally residing in the Houston area and was wanted for allegedly murdering two gang members in Mexico during a botched attempt to highjack a shipment of illicit narcotics.
  • A 21-year-old unlawfully present Mexican national wanted in Veracruz, Mexico, for homicide who was apprehended on May 24 in Splendora. The arrest was made by ERO Houston fugitive operations officers, in conjunction with the Splendora Police Department after officials received information from the ERO assistant attaché for removals in Mexico City and the U.S. Marshals Service indicating that the noncitizen was illegally residing in Splendora.
  • A 42-year-old unlawfully present Honduran national wanted in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, for homicide who was apprehended on June 3 in southwest Houston. The arrest was made by ERO Houston fugitive operations officers just seven hours after they received information from ERO Atlanta that the noncitizen was wanted for homicide and was believed to have fled to Houston.
  • A 41-year-old previously expelled Mexican national wanted in Durango, Mexico, for homicide who was apprehended on June 4 in Waco. The arrest was made by ERO Waco fugitive operations officers just 12 days after they received information from NCATC indicating that the noncitizen was illegally residing in Waco.
  • A 40-year-old, three-time voluntarily returned Mexican national wanted in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, for homicide who was apprehended on June 7 in Splendora. The arrest was made by ERO Houston fugitive operations officers, in conjunction with the Splendora Police Department, after the noncitizen was encountered and identified as a foreign fugitive wanted for murder.

That’s a long description but it’s important to understand who is coming into our country. All of these men are described as fugitives. They fled their countries and entered illegally into the United States because they knew they could. Remember when former President Trump ran for office in 2015? A top issue of his campaign was illegal immigration and securing the southern border. He dared to say that many illegal aliens are bad hombres and the open borders crowd melted down. Trump was right and it was just common sense. Of course, some bad people are illegally crossing the southern border with Mexico. They wouldn’t be admitted at a legal port of entry so they continue their criminal acts by breaking American immigration laws. They don’t care about laws.

Houston is a hub for illegal immigration. It isn’t a sanctuary city (wink, wink) but it often acts as one. The new mayor is known as a supporter of police and law and order so maybe he can make some headway by working with federal authorities.

ERO Houston Field Office Director Bret A. Bradford praised the ICE operation and commended the agents involved in the successful swoop on criminal aliens.

“The ability of ERO Houston and ERO Waco fugitive operations officers to quickly translate intelligence into actionable leads that result in the arrest and removal of dangerous foreign fugitives and other criminal noncitizens from the community is unparalleled across the country,” said Bradford. “In one case, they were able to successfully locate and arrest an unlawfully present murder fugitive in just seven hours, which is almost unheard of given all of the logistical hurdles and surveillance needed to safely take a dangerous fugitive like that into custody. The work that they do day in and day out to uphold the integrity of our nation’s immigration laws and to bolster public safety in the community is truly inspiring and a testament to their unyielding commitment and dedication to their craft.”

ERO Houston Assistant Field Office Director John D. Linscott delivered a similar statement, crediting professionalism for the success.

“The professionalism of the officers from ERO Houston’s fugitive operations teams is showcased in these arrests,” said Linscott. “The quick response to locate, arrest and remove these threats from the community exhibits the pride and importance that these men and women take in their job every day.”

Just imagine if Joe Biden and DHS Secretary Mayorkas let ICE do their jobs all the time. It would certainly make America a safer country. Maybe now that election day is only five months away, they will give the green light to ICE to do what they are trained to do instead of being sidelined by the open border policies of the Biden administration. As a Houstonian, I know I would appreciate that.

There is a real problem with vetting asylum-seekers who illegally cross the border. There is no real vetting being done. In a June 7 report issued by the DHS Office of Inspector General, it found that DHS has to improve its screening and vetting process when asylum-seekers are being processed.

The vetting process, or lack thereof, was brought forward this week when the story broke of 8 terrorists from Tajikistan. A sting operation brought them down in three cities – New York City, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. There were wiretapped conversations involving talk of bombs. They were here illegally, released by Border Patrol because vetting information isn’t available from Tajikistan. After they were released into the interior of the country, the terrorism information was discovered.

Biden’s border crisis is dangerous to national security. According to CBP, there are about 1,664,203 gotaways, but no one has an exact number. No one knows who they are, where they came from, or what they are doing here. That means we don’t know how many potential terrorists who wish to kill Americans are here.

These are dangerous times.

Things will get worse before they get better. It’s just a matter of time before something truly horrible happens.
