President Donald Trump continues to show why he remains a dominant force in politics, not just with policy but with his ability to dismantle the leftist media in real time.
As reported by The Gateway Pundit, his latest verbal smackdown took place aboard Air Force One while en route to Super Bowl LIX, where he effortlessly humiliated a far-left “journalist” trying to play gotcha.
During a press gaggle, HuffPost White House Correspondent S.V. Dáte—who is better known for his anti-Trump drivel than for actual journalism—tried to corner Trump with a question about Vice President J.D. Vance’s recent remarks on judicial overreach.
Dennis Quaid’s #1 Warning for Americans
Vance had drawn a sharp analogy about judges meddling in executive authority, exposing the absurdity of activist courts trying to hamstring Trump’s administration.
“If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal. If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that’s also illegal. Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.”
Dáte, apparently eager to twist the meaning of Vance’s words, came at Trump with a loaded question.
“The vice president suggested that if the Supreme Court rules in a way that you don’t like, they could just enforce it by themselves. Do you agree with that?”
Trump, never one to be baited by a leftist narrative, shut him down instantly.
“I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Neither do you. Who are you with?”
When Dáte mumbled that he was with HuffPost, Trump didn’t miss a beat, dropping one of his signature one-liners.
“No wonder. I thought they died. Are they still around? I haven’t read them in years.”
The exchange, captured on video, went viral almost immediately. Conservatives cheered as Trump effortlessly brushed off the latest attempt by the media to twist his words, proving once again why he remains the biggest thorn in the side of the leftist press.

Meanwhile, HuffPost—once a major name in online liberal activism—continues its slide into irrelevance. And if Trump’s reaction is any indication, he isn’t alone in noticing.
