A large-scale immigration enforcement effort led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Miami, in coordination with Florida law enforcement agencies, resulted in the arrest of nearly 800 illegal immigrants within the first four days of Operation Tidal Wave, officials confirmed this week.
The joint operation, which remains ongoing, aims to support President Donald Trump’s mass deportation initiative.
According to ICE and law enforcement authorities, individuals arrested during the crackdown include violent offenders, gang members, and individuals with outstanding international warrants.

Another significant arrest involved Savva Klishchevskii, a Russian national who is the subject of an Interpol Red Notice issued by Russian authorities for vehicular manslaughter.
Officials also detained Aron Isaak Morazan-Izaguirre, a Honduran national identified as a known or suspected member of the 18th Street gang.
Morazan-Izaguirre had reportedly reentered the United States illegally twice prior to his latest arrest.
Fox News reported that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) provided “extraordinary support” during the operation.

ICE praised its Department of Homeland Security (DHS) partners, stating in a post on X, “We appreciate our DHS partner’s commitment to public safety.”
Authorities indicated that Operation Tidal Wave is intended to serve as a model for continued cooperation between state and federal law enforcement, emphasizing the need for aggressive enforcement measures to address illegal immigration and criminal activity linked to foreign nationals.
The update on Operation Tidal Wave follows the arrests of two judges earlier this week on charges related to allegedly assisting illegal immigrants in avoiding detection by immigration authorities.
Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan was charged with obstruction of an official proceeding and concealing an individual to prevent discovery and arrest.
Prosecutors allege Dugan shielded a migrant from ICE agents.

Separately, former Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano, 68, and his wife, Nancy Cano, 67, were charged with evidence tampering.
Authorities allege the couple harbored Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, a member of Venezuela’s violent Tren de Aragua gang, who was wanted by immigration authorities.
ICE has indicated that operations such as Tidal Wave are a key component of its ongoing strategy to enhance public safety by targeting individuals who pose threats to communities across the United States.
The agency confirmed that further enforcement actions are expected as Operation Tidal Wave continues across Florida.
