‘If You’re Afraid of Your Own People…’ [WATCH]

Vice President JD Vance sharply criticized European leaders for failing to uphold basic freedoms while cracking down on their own citizens.

Speaking with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday, Vance highlighted the growing censorship, rising crime linked to mass migration, and the broader decline of Western values across the European Union and Britain.

Vance pointed to increasing government suppression of speech, referencing recent incidents in Germany and the UK where authorities have arrested citizens for online speech while failing to address the growing threat of illegal migrant crime.

“We have to ask ourselves, the questions as leaders, are we willing to defend people, even if we disagree with what they say?” Vance said.

“If you’re not willing to do that, I don’t think you’re fit to lead Europe or the United States.”

He argued that many European leaders refuse to protect their own citizens while demanding financial and military support from the United States.

“There’s nothing that we can do for you if you’re terrified of your own people, and Sean, you see this every single day. What are some of the biggest drivers of violence in these European societies? It’s mass migration. It’s people who haven’t assimilated into European societies, who are driving cars into Christmas festivals, killing tons of innocent people,” Vance stated.

His comments referenced a December attack in Germany, where a Saudi migrant drove into a Christmas market in Magdeburg, killing multiple people.

Such incidents have become more frequent across Europe, with migrants involved in violent attacks on public gatherings, yet European governments continue prioritizing censorship over security.

Vance further criticized European leaders for suppressing dissent instead of addressing the dangers posed by unassimilated migrants.

“That [censorship] is a danger in Europe. It was a danger under Joe Biden in the United States of America,” he said.

“The biggest risk[s] to our civilization” will remain unresolved, he warned, if Western nations refuse to confront both the silencing of free speech and the security crisis linked to mass migration.

Vance recently took a firm stance against European leaders at the Munich Security Conference, confronting them directly over their failures.

“It’s that weakness internally. That’s what we have to fix,” he said.

Following his remarks at the conference, CBS’s “60 Minutes” aired a segment detailing Germany’s increasing restrictions on free speech, a move that Vance described as evidence of growing authoritarianism.

Meanwhile, in Scotland, authorities recently arrested a grandmother for silently

praying outside an abortion clinic.

The suppression of free expression, combined with escalating crime from unchecked migration, continues to raise concerns about the direction of European governance.

Vance has made it clear that the United States cannot prop up allies who refuse to defend their own people.
