Ilhan Omar Tells Reporter To ‘F*ck Off’ Over Basic Question About El Salvador

Democrat Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar told Daily Caller News Foundation reporter Myles Morell to “f*ck off” when he asked about her party advocating for an alleged MS-13 member.

Morell asked Omar if more Democrats should be traveling to El Salvador to advocate for the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged MS-13 member deported by President Donald Trump’s administration. Omar, without answering the question, repeatedly told Morell to “fuck off.”

“Do you think more of your Democratic colleagues should be traveling to El Salvador to advocate on behalf of Abrego Garcia?” Morell asked.

“I think you should fuck off,” Omar said.

“I’m sorry, what, congresswoman?” Morell asked.

Four Democratic representatives, along with Democratic Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen, traveled to El Salvador to show support for Garcia and protest against the Trump administration. Police records and court documents indicate that Garcia smuggled people into the U.S., had a good standing with MS-13 and physically abused his wife.

In 2019, an immigration judge issued a deportation order for Garcia, who illegally entered the U.S. in 2011 from El Salvador, according to court documents. A judge gave Garcia a protected status known as “withholding of removal” in October 2019 after determining that he would likely be persecuted by gangs if deported back to El Salvador.

White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller said that the protected status is no longer valid since Trump designated MS-13 and other criminal gang organizations as foreign domestic terrorist organizations.

After administration officials acknowledged that Garcia’s deportation was a clerical error, the Supreme Court ordered the administration to “facilitate” the return of Garcia in an April 10 ruling. El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele said on April 14 that he will not “smuggle” Garcia back into the U.S.

Trump told ABC News Tuesday that he “could” secure the return of Garcia from El Salvador.
