Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is facing criticism over a post on X that some users interpreted as referencing President Donald Trump’s execution following his recent comments about fraud in Minnesota and the Somali community, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
On Tuesday, President Trump appeared on Fox Business for an interview with Larry Kudlow. During the discussion, the president addressed what he described as widespread fraud across the country, including activity in Minnesota.
At one point in the interview, Trump referenced Somalia and Omar while speaking about the issue.

“Somalia has come in here. What they’ve done to our country, these people, they’ve come into our country, and what they’ve done with that fake congresswoman. She’s so bad,” Trump told Kudlow.
After the interview aired, Omar responded on X with a sharply worded post.
“The leader of the Ped*phile Protection Party is trying to deflect attention from his name being all over the Epstein files,” Omar wrote.
“At least in Somalia, they execute ped*philes, not elect them,” she added.

The post quickly circulated online, with many users reacting to her comments and debating their meaning. Some individuals on the platform argued that the statement amounted to a suggestion that Trump should face execution, while others characterized it as political rhetoric.
The exchange comes amid ongoing scrutiny surrounding the release of investigative files related to Jeffrey Epstein. The files have prompted renewed public discussion and political responses across party lines.
President Trump’s interview with Kudlow focused primarily on alleged fraud issues in Minnesota.
During that segment, he singled out the Somali community and criticized Omar directly, referring to her as a “fake congresswoman.”
Omar, who represents Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives, has been a frequent critic of President Trump and his administration. Her response to the interview further escalated tensions between the two.
In the aftermath of her post, several users on X called for law enforcement authorities to review the comments. The platform saw a surge of responses questioning whether her statement crossed a line.
The remarks were made publicly on X and remain accessible to users who viewed or shared the post.

Neither Omar’s office nor the White House immediately released additional statements following the online exchange.
The episode marks the latest confrontation between President Trump and the Minnesota lawmaker, both of whom have publicly criticized each other in the past.
The controversy unfolded as debate continues over fraud investigations, the Epstein files, and broader political disputes heading into the upcoming election cycle.
