Never-Trumper Rick Wilson, a co-founder of The Lincoln Project, threw a fit Wednesday after he was banned from X for posting an article headlined, “Kill Tesla, Save The Country.”

Wilson’s Substack article referred to Tesla as “a bank for fascists, a goose-stepping hedge fund bankrolling the political fever dreams of Elon Musk and his DOGE dreams of controlling the ruins of the American government as he becomes Earth’s first trillionaire and then the Emperor of Mars.” Wilson initially said he was suspended from posting on X for 30 days for a violation of the site’s rules, but later revealed his ban was elevated “to a full suspension.” (RELATED: Anti-Trump PAC Continues To Shuffle Millions Of Donor Dollars To Firms Owned By Insiders)

“This is the article that got me banned on Twitter. Nazis? Fine. Racist freaks? Perfectly ok. Describing a social and media campaign to hit Tesla’s stock price? Sissy SpaceX freaks the fuck out,” he wrote on Bluesky.

This is the article that got me banned on Twitter.

Nazis? Fine.

Racist freaks? Perfectly ok.

Describing a social and media campaign to hit Tesla’s stock price?

Sissy SpaceX freaks the fuck out.

In a separate Bluesky post, Wilson said, “Guess Elon didn’t like my video from last night,” a reference to a Lincoln Project YouTube video in which he derided Musk for the ban and claimed he was not calling for violence.

So from 30 days to a full suspension lol. Guess Elon didn’t like my video from last night.

“If I was calling for violence against you, you’d know it,” Wilson said.

Wilson previously said in 2015 that the “donor class” is “going to have to go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump.” He doubled down on this metaphor even after the 2024 assassination attempt on Trump. “He is not a martyr. He is not a saint. He is not a good man. He is not a great man,” Wilson said. “I am glad he lived,” he added.

Left-wing activists have recently launched a wave of violent attacks on Tesla dealerships and charging stations across the country. At least five Tesla vehicles were damaged in a fire Tuesday at a Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas. Police found several cars ablaze with the word “RESIST” spray painted at the front of the business. A 40-year-old woman was charged with throwing a Molotov cocktail into a Tesla dealership and spray painting the words “nazi cars” in Colorado in late January, NBC News reported. Similar attacks have been reported in Massachusetts, Oregon and South Carolina.

Attorney General Pam Pondi announced on Thursday charges against three individuals for violent destruction of Tesla property and using Molotov cocktails to set fire to vehicles and charging stations.

“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,”Bondi said in a statement. “Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”

Jimmy Kimmel recently made light of the political violence by mock pleading with his audience not to vandalize Teslas.

“Please don’t vandalize. Don’t ever vandalize Tesla vehicles,” he said sarcastically.
