Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville made it abundantly clear he couldn’t care less about protecting female athletes, brushing off the issue with his usual brand of smug indifference.
In a Monday video, Carville scoffed at efforts to keep biological males out of women’s sports, saying he doesn’t “understand” or even care about the debate, as reported by The Daily Caller.
Protecting women’s athletics has become a top priority for conservatives, with President Donald Trump signing an executive order on Feb. 5 to prevent biological males from infiltrating female sports teams.

While Republicans stand firm on fairness in competition, Carville mocked the entire debate, dismissing it as unworthy of serious attention.
“And, you know, whenever this topic comes up, say, ‘Look, I’m sorry. I just don’t think a lot about track meets. I think a lot about people having affordable health care. I think a lot about how we can grow America. I think a lot about that they’re not going to be able to pass a debt limit, not even close, much less reconciliation, anything else.’”
He then, in typical Carville fashion, wrapped up his rant with a bit of profanity-laced mockery.
“And, okay, I’ve had a little fun here. I love to have fun. I love to mock and make fun of these f**king idiots.”

The arrogance on display is striking, especially given that the overwhelming majority of Americans see the issue differently. A January New York Times/Ipsos poll found that nearly 80% of Americans oppose biological males competing in women’s sports.
It’s an issue that resonates deeply with voters, yet Carville and his fellow Democrats prefer to pretend it doesn’t exist.
Carville isn’t alone in his dismissive attitude. Radio host Charlamagne Tha God also criticized Democratic Gov. Janet Mills of Maine for refusing to protect women’s sports. Mills has stood by policies that allow male athletes who identify as female to compete against women.

This comes after a heated exchange between Trump and Mills, where Trump called out the absurdity of letting men dominate women’s competitions.
Charlamagne, while no fan of conservatives, at least recognizes that pushing radical gender policies is political suicide.
“Why are folks still talking about trans athletes? Like that is a losing talking point. America’s not with it, and they keep making a micro a macro with that conversation. It impacts such a small, small group of people, but it makes a whole lot of people think folks lack common sense, so why are they even having that conversation?”
Even as Democrats try to pretend this isn’t an issue, the reality is sinking in. Conservative campaign ads exposing Kamala Harris and other left-wing politicians as extreme on transgender issues were some of the most effective political messaging of the 2024 cycle.
Voters are watching, and they’re rejecting the progressive fantasy that ignores biological reality.
Carville also tried to dodge the issue when pressed by Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday. Hannity challenged him on the Democratic Party’s support for letting biological males invade women’s sports.
Rather than defend the left’s radical stance, Carville acted like he’d never heard of such a thing.
“I don’t know of anybody that’s sitting there worrying about who plays in the high school track meet. I really don’t … You go and worry about the high school track meet. I’ll worry about people getting good health care, okay? We’ll agree to disagree.”
That statement right there is why so many Americans are fed up with the Democratic Party. Carville and his ilk sneer at parents, female athletes, and everyday Americans who just want fairness in sports.
Instead of listening, they mock, dismiss, and gaslight voters into thinking this isn’t a big deal. But the numbers don’t lie—Americans overwhelmingly reject the left’s radical agenda. And come election season, they’ll remember exactly where Carville and his party stood.
