Comedian Jamie Kennedy is criticizing celebrities who condemn Immigration and Customs Enforcement while appearing at high-profile Hollywood events surrounded by security, as reported by The New York Post.

Kennedy, 55, spoke about the issue Tuesday during an appearance on Jack Osbourne’s “Trying Not to Die” podcast.

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement

He took aim at actors who use award shows and film festivals to denounce immigration enforcement and describe the United States as living under authoritarian rule.

According to Kennedy, the contrast between their statements and their surroundings is striking.

He said, “when you have actors from the red carpet of an award show” saying stuff like “we’re under a fascist regime” and cries of “authoritarianism,” they couldn’t be more clueless.

He added: “You can’t say you’re under authoritarian rule when you’re literally being authoritarian.”

Kennedy also addressed recent protests targeting ICE, questioning the logic behind condemning federal agents tasked with enforcing immigration laws.

He claimed protesting ICE is bizarre when these agents “are trying to get rid of the criminals” in our country. Let’s adhere to the laws to what we have.”

During the podcast conversation, Kennedy said one actor’s anti-ICE remarks stood out to him.

At one point, he said one actor had really gotten to him with the anti-ICE comments and told him, “B****, shut the f*** up!”

Kennedy argued that celebrities who are upset about immigration enforcement should do more than voice their frustration from entertainment venues.

His message to celebrities who claim to be upset about immigration enforcement is simply “get on the frontline” and not cry about it from luxury film festivals such as Sundance.

His comments come amid a series of public statements by actors and musicians criticizing ICE.

During the recent Independent Spirit Awards, “White Lotus” star Natasha Rothwell delivered an expletive-laden remark while presenting an award, going off-script.

“Hi, everyone! I’m going to go to the prompter, but I just want to say, ‘f—k ICE,” the actress said, which sent the audience into raptures, according to The California Post.

Rothwell is among several entertainers who have publicly criticized immigration enforcement. The California Post reported that she joins other stars like Billie Eilish and Bad Bunny who recently attacked the work being done by ICE.

The debate over immigration enforcement and the role of ICE has increasingly spilled into the entertainment industry, with some celebrities using public platforms to voice opposition.

Kennedy’s remarks highlight a divide within Hollywood over how and where those criticisms should be expressed.

Jack Osbourne’s “Trying Not to Die” podcast featured Kennedy’s comments as part of a broader discussion on culture and politics in the entertainment world.

As the conversation around immigration policy continues, Kennedy’s podcast appearance has added another flashpoint to the ongoing clash between some in Hollywood and federal immigration authorities.
