Jasmine Crockett’s Luxury Spending Scandal Just Got Weird as New Information Emerges [WATCH]

Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, has had an unpaid lien of more than $3,000 on her Dallas condominium for over a year, according to county records reviewed by Fox News Digital.

A notice of lien filed on April 11, 2024, and posted on the Dallas County Clerk’s website, states that Crockett owes the Westside Condominium Association a total of $3,047.79.

According to the notice, Crockett “is in default in her obligation for payment of assessments and has failed and refused and continues to fail and refuse, despite demand upon her, to pay the Association assessments and related charges properly levied against the Property.”

The lien prevents the sale or transfer of the condo until the outstanding balance is resolved.

The Dallas County Clerk’s Office confirmed Tuesday evening that no release of the lien has been filed, indicating the amount remains unpaid.

County property records show that Crockett bought the unit in May 2014.

The condominium is located just north of downtown Dallas, and Crockett is registered to vote at the address.

A Homes.com listing for the Westside Condominiums describes the gated complex as offering a “refreshing retreat” with “comfort and convenience in a secure setting.”

Amenities include a pool, clubhouse and updated kitchens and bathrooms.

The listing shows homeowners association fees ranging from $222 to $403 and covering all facilities, structural maintenance, sewer and water.

Jasmine Crockett makes $174,000 a year in Congress.

The average Texan makes $52,885 per year.

Meanwhile, Crockett says she doesn’t “get enough money.”

A longtime Democratic strategist familiar with national campaigns told Fox News Digital, “The more we learn about Jasmine Crockett, the more clear it is that she’s the worst possible candidate to run for Senate in Texas. Recent weeks have shown she’s just not ready for primetime.”

Crockett’s campaign finance filings have drawn attention in recent months after Federal Election Commission reports showed nearly $75,000 spent on luxury hotels, transportation and security in major U.S. cities throughout the year.

The filings document hotel and transportation expenses in Martha’s Vineyard, Chicago, New York City, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Angeles, despite Crockett representing Texas’ 30th Congressional District.

Since January, her campaign has spent $25,748.87 on high-end hotels and limousine services.

Reported hotel costs include $4,175.01 at the Ritz-Carlton and $2,304.79 at The Luxury Collection.

Additional charges include $5,326.52 at the West Hollywood Edition in Los Angeles, $1,173.92 at the Times Square Edition in New York City, more than $2,000 at the Cosmopolitan and Aria in Las Vegas, $2,703.14 at the Edgartown Inn and $3,160.93 at The Coco in Martha’s Vineyard.

Transportation expenses include $2,728.00 to the Chicago-based limousine service Transportation 4 U, $2,310.30 to DCA Car LLC and $1,254.00 to Bay Area Limousine.

During that same period, Crockett’s campaign reported nearly $50,000 in security expenses.

While serving in the Texas House of Representatives in 2021, she said, “The Defund movement seeks to actually bring about healing and finally invest in our communities to make them safer, addressing the root causes of crime and by allowing the professionals to do their respective jobs. Defund is about finally being smart on crime. Defund is about lightening the load for our offices of all things they didn’t sign up for. Defund is about finally being fiscally responsible when it comes to policing in this state.”

Crockett has been involved in several controversies this year, including criticism she received after referring to Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, who uses a wheelchair, as “Governor Hot Wheels.”

She has said she is “seriously weighing” a run for the U.S. Senate against Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and is expected to announce her decision on Dec. 8, according to the San Antonio Current.

Cornyn, who is seeking a fifth term, faces a primary contest with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Rep. Wesley Hunt of the Houston area.
