Comedian Jerry Seinfeld was confronted by an anti-Israel protester while leaving Madison Square Garden following a New York Knicks game, marking the latest in a string of public incidents targeting him over his pro-Israel stance.
The incident occurred as Seinfeld, wearing a Knicks cap, exited the venue and approached a waiting vehicle.
A woman began shouting at the comedian from off-camera, yelling profanities and accusing him of supporting “the genocide of babies in Gaza.”

“F**k you, Jerry Seinfeld! Free Palestine,” the woman yelled.
“You support the genocide of babies in Gaza!”
Seinfeld responded by laughing and saying, “Only you,” before continuing toward his car.
The protester continued shouting, calling him a “rabid f**king dog.”

Seinfeld, who has long been vocal in his support for Israel, became more publicly active following the October 7, 2023, terrorist attack by Hamas.
In the days following the massacre, he joined over 2,000 leaders in the entertainment industry in signing a letter organized by Creative Community for Peace (CCFP) expressing solidarity with Israel.
“As Israel takes the necessary steps to defend its citizens in the coming days and weeks, social media will be overrun by an orchestrated misinformation campaign spearheaded by Iran,” the CCFP letter stated.
“We urge everyone to remember the horrific images that came out of Israel and to not amplify or fall for their propaganda.”
The letter concluded with a call for long-term peace: “We also mourn the loss of innocent lives in Gaza and hope for the day when Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in peace.”
Public confrontations targeting Seinfeld have continued over the past year and a half.
In a separate incident, a social media influencer known as “Subway DJ” attempted to bait the comedian during an encounter by asking for a selfie and then suddenly declaring “Free Palestine.”
Seinfeld, unfazed, delivered a curt response before walking away: “I don’t care about Palestine.”
Despite the heckling, Seinfeld has also received positive messages from supporters.
While attending a New York Mets game, a fan approached Seinfeld and asked him to record a message for his brother who was stationed near the Gaza border.
Seinfeld obliged, looking into the fan’s phone camera and saying, “Let’s go IDF!”
In December 2023, Seinfeld and his wife, Jessica Sklar, visited Israel and met with survivors of the October 7 attacks.
In an interview with journalist Bari Weiss following the trip, Seinfeld described it as “the most powerful experience of my life.”
During the conversation, he became visibly emotional and paused before speaking further.
The recent protest outside Madison Square Garden is part of a broader trend of backlash faced by high-profile figures who have spoken out in favor of Israel amid the ongoing war with Hamas.
Despite the criticism, Seinfeld has remained consistent in his public support.
