Fox News host Jesse Watters and commentator Clay Travis discussed recent U.S. military operations in Iran, describing the campaign as a significant development while pointing to casualty figures and broader geopolitical implications.
Watters opened the discussion by framing the moment as a major shift. “Clay Travis is the founder of Outkick. All right, big Easter weekend, Clay. This is a turning point,” he said.
Travis agreed with that characterization. “It’s a huge turning point,” he said.
He then criticized Democrats over their handling of prior leadership, stating, “And you know what? I don’t want to hear anything from any Democrat. You let Weekend at Bernie’s exist in this country for four years, and then you all said, We need weekend at birdies too. And you didn’t say anything about the 25th amendment. Joe Biden was a vegetable. He couldn’t even stay awake on the beach.”

Travis continued by comparing how he believes events would have unfolded under former President Joe Biden.
“He would have been asleep. That guy would still be in a crevice in Iran. If Joe Biden was in office, he would say he would still be sleeping. He wouldn’t have even found out about him missing yet. All right, so I don’t want to hear anything about the 25th amendment from any other Democrat,” he said.
Watters referenced a past incident involving defense leadership, adding, “Yeah, I think his Secretary of Defense went missing for a week. He was gone in the hospital, and nobody knew where he was. Biden had no clue. I know it’s absolute crazy Does it help the President negotiate, when Democrats who know him, call him so crazy he’s willing to do anything to win the war. Does that help?”
Travis responded that he believes such perceptions can influence foreign adversaries.

“Yes, yes, because Iranian despots only respect one thing, and that is the threat of getting their ass kicked,” he said.
“They don’t care about nuance. They don’t care about the intricacies of Obama’s negotiations, they have to believe, like bullies on the school yard do, that somebody is going to punch them in the mouth and actually hold them accountable.”
He also pointed to casualty figures in the conflict.
“Three weeks basically, with almost no casualties at all. Thank the Lord. 13 lost lives so far,” Travis said.
Travis added a comparison to domestic crime statistics.
“Since we started the war in Iran, you are more likely to have been murdered in Chicago than to have been killed by Iran if you are in the armed forces,” he said.
“Think about that for a moment. The streets of Chicago are more dangerous for Americans than the skies above Iran.”
He characterized the operation as highly effective.
“This is one of the most successful military operations we have seen in the history of the United States,” Travis said.
Watters added his own observation about conditions inside Iran. “I got an even crazier stat. The streets of Iran are safer since we started bombing them,” he said.
“The regime was just slaughtering 1000s of people in cold blood, and now everyone’s hiding so I guess, I guess you could say this is the most humane war we’ve ever conducted.”
Travis referenced reported protest-related deaths. “And they killed 45,000 protestors, Jesse. 45,000 of them. President Trump pointed it out today. Good for him,” he said.
The conversation concluded with a lighter exchange between the two. Watters said, “My Producer just mentioned that today is your birthday, in order to trick me into wishing you Happy birthday, and I won’t do it.”
Travis replied, “It is, it is, I made it around the Sun one more time. Congratulations to the astronauts for making it around the moon, and Congrats to all the troops out there. It’s been an amazing weekend.”
Watters added, “You look great for 70 Thanks, Clay.”
