Joe Biden’s Daughter Ashley Ends Marriage After Instagram Post Suggests Cheating Allegations

Ashley Biden, daughter of President Joe Biden, filed for divorce from her husband, Dr. Howard Krein, on Sunday, just hours after sharing an Instagram post appearing to accuse him of infidelity, as reported by The New York Post.

The since-deleted Instagram Story showed a man and woman, photographed from behind, walking hand in hand. Over the image, Biden wrote, “My husband and his girlfriend holding hands,” and paired it with the Notorious B.I.G. and Lil’ Kim song “Another,” which references an affair.

In the portion of the song shared by Biden, Lil’ Kim raps, “What do you do when your man is untrue? Do you cut the sucker off and find someone new?”

While the man and woman in the photo were not immediately identifiable, Biden’s message suggested a public statement on the state of her marriage.

Another deleted Instagram Story, showing Biden walking through a park and giving a thumbs-up to Beyoncé’s song “Freedom,” also appeared to reference the split.

In a later post, set to Lauryn Hill’s “Freedom Time,” Biden shared a quote: “New life, new beginnings means new boundaries. New ways of being that won’t look or sound like they did before.”

Biden, 44, filed for divorce from Krein, 58, in Philadelphia court after 13 years of marriage. According to court documents reviewed by Radar Online, she is seeking spousal support while the divorce is pending, citing her inability to support herself financially.

She is requesting a no-fault divorce, stating that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and that the couple has been living “separate and apart.”

Ashley Biden serves as executive director of the nonprofit Delaware Center for Justice. Krein, a New Jersey-born otolaryngologist and plastic surgeon affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University, proposed to Biden in 2011 in Big Sur, California.

They were married in 2012 at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church in Greenville, Delaware, in a ceremony incorporating both Catholic and Jewish traditions.

The wedding reception was held at the Biden family’s lakeside home in Wilmington, with then-Vice President Joe Biden personally preparing the venue. At the time, Joe Biden described Krein as “the right guy” for his daughter.

Krein previously served on the board of the Biden Cancer Initiative from 2017 to 2019 and informally advised Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign on its COVID-19 response.

Neither Ashley Biden nor Howard Krein responded to requests for comment following the divorce filing.
