CNN’s Kaitlan Collins is back at it again—this time panicking over the first few weeks of Donald Trump’s second term.
The left-wing anchor warned that the U.S. is on the verge of a “constitutional crisis” simply because Trump is keeping his promises and shaking up the bloated federal bureaucracy, as reported by The Daily Mail.
“We are three weeks into the second Trump presidency. Three weeks. And tonight, there are warnings that the U.S. is dangerously close to a constitutional crisis,” Collins breathlessly declared on air.
Dennis Quaid’s #1 Warning for Americans
The so-called “crisis” she’s hyperventilating over? Trump’s appointment of billionaire Elon Musk to head the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a move that has triggered legal challenges from activist judges eager to slow down his momentum.
Collins’ hysterics didn’t go unnoticed, as social media erupted with mockery over her dramatic delivery.
“We are ALL laughing at you, Kaitlan Collins … you cried your last ‘wolf!’ some time ago,” one X user posted.

Another blasted her for being unable to tell the difference between a genuine constitutional crisis and “a Democrat full-blown meltdown over Trump getting things done that he said he was going to do before the election.”
It’s not a Constitutional Crisis. Kaitlan Collins can’t tell the difference between a Constitutional Crisis & a Democrat full blown meltdown over Trump getting things done that he said he was going to do before the election. That’s why they hate so much. Trump getting it done!

Collins zeroed in on a federal judge’s ruling against the White House, claiming that the Trump administration was “defying his order to unfreeze billions of dollars in federal aid.”
She breathlessly announced that this was “the first time that we’ve had a judge expressly accuse the Trump administration of ignoring a court ruling.”
What she conveniently ignored was Trump’s response—calling out activist judges for overstepping their authority in an attempt to obstruct his agenda.
Of course, Collins wasn’t the only one feigning outrage. She cited “prominent Democrats and many of the nation’s top constitutional scholars” as proof that Trump’s presidency is spiraling into some legal catastrophe.
Apparently, these left-wing “scholars” believe the President of the United States shouldn’t have the authority to govern—at least, not if that president is named Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance—who, unlike Collins, actually studied law at Yale—dismissed these judicial power grabs as blatant overreach.
“If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal. If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that’s also illegal.”

Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.

Trump backed up Vance’s take while speaking aboard Air Force One.
“The day you’re not allowed to look for theft and fraud, etcetera, then we don’t have much of a country. No judge should be allowed to make that kind of decision. It’s a disgrace.”

In just one day, five different federal judges tried to throw a wrench into Trump’s agenda, blocking his efforts to end birthright citizenship, slash NIH funding, freeze wasteful federal grants, and fire the government’s so-called “ethics” czar.
Another judge even ordered Trump’s DOGE team to “destroy any and all copies of material downloaded from the Treasury Department’s records and systems.”
Collins, still rattled, tried to frame the situation as a power struggle between Trump and the judiciary.
“The question, tonight, of course, is, who determines what is legitimate power?”
The real question, though, is why Democrats suddenly care about checks and balances only when a Republican is in office.
The White House has dismissed these legal maneuvers as desperate attempts by activist judges to cling to the old, corrupt system. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who was confirmed by the Senate, has already authorized Musk’s access to government data.
But that hasn’t stopped left-wing judges from throwing tantrums in court.
Meanwhile, liberal legal scholar Erwin Chemerinsky is already crying “constitutional crisis” to the media, claiming that “there have been so many unconstitutional and illegal actions in the first 18 days of the Trump presidency. We never have seen anything like this.”

Right—because Democrats aren’t used to seeing a president actually do what he said he’d do.
Despite all the noise, Musk and his team continue exposing waste, fraud, and abuse across the federal government at breakneck speed. And Trump, as always, isn’t backing down.
On Truth Social, he cheered Musk’s efforts and hinted at expanding his role further:
“BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF WASTE, FRAUD, AND ABUSE BEING FOUND. CAMPAIGN PROMISE. IMPORTANT FOR AMERICA!!!”
