Former Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, made an appearance at the Los Angeles Lakers game on Thursday night, but social media users were quick to point out the lack of excitement surrounding her arrival.
Footage circulating on social media captured Harris and Emhoff entering the arena and walking up the stairs to their non-courtside seats.
The video, which quickly gained traction on X (formerly Twitter), showed little reaction from the crowd as they made their way to their seats.

Others on X speculated that the former vice president’s low-key reception was a sign of her waning popularity.
“Just goes to show you how unpopular Kamala really is and how all the hoopla while she campaigned was completely fake,” another user wrote.
Social media users also pointed out that Harris and Emhoff were not seated courtside, instead taking seats in front of a broadcast booth.
Some users poked fun at the former vice president’s seating arrangement, questioning why she did not have more exclusive access.
One post read, “Kamala Harris is at the Lakers Warriors game in like row 58. Should’ve saved some of that money,” alongside a video showing the poster sitting rows ahead of her.

The couple remained in their seats as they watched the Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors.
While Harris could be seen smiling and waving at some in the crowd, video clips showed only a handful of spectators turning to acknowledge her presence.

The former vice president’s public outings have often sparked discussion regarding her public perception, and Thursday’s game was no exception.
While some defended her right to attend a game as a private citizen, others saw it as an indication of her struggles to connect with voters.
With the 2024 election cycle in full swing, Harris’ public appearances continue to be closely watched as speculation about her political future remains uncertain.
