She continued, “Together, we’re gonna kick Trump’s a** in November. I’ll stand up to Trump and his cronies just like I did in Congress, with or without my whiteboard.”

Porter also framed the gubernatorial race as extending beyond opposition to the president.

“But this election for governor is about more than defeating Trump. We know what Trump is willing to do. He’s willing to kill people in the streets, to rip away healthcare, and to ruthlessly attack our democracy. The remarks came as Democratic candidates in California position themselves ahead of the 2026 election cycle. Porter served in Congress representing California before launching her campaign for governor.

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House and the Republican National Committee on Monday for comment regarding Porter’s statements.

Porter has secured the endorsement of Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, a longtime ally.

Warren also posted her support for Porter on the platform.
