Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen,” has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for her role in the death of actor Matthew Perry, according to court proceedings overseen by United States District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett, as reported by Fox News.

Sangha is the third of five individuals who pleaded guilty in connection to Perry’s death to be sentenced. Her guilty plea allowed her to avoid a trial that had been scheduled for September.

The case stems from Perry’s death in October 2023, which authorities determined was the result of a drug overdose.

Federal prosecutors recommended the 15-year sentence, alleging Sangha operated what they described as an extensive drug trafficking operation.

According to a Department of Justice press release, prosecutors stated: “For years…Sangha operated a high-volume drug trafficking business out of her North Hollywood residence.”

They added, “To cultivate her business, [Sangha] marketed herself as an exclusive dealer who catered to high-profile Hollywood clientele…While [Sangha] worked to expand and profit from her drug trafficking, she knew – and disregarded – the grave harm her conduct was causing.”

Sangha’s legal team argued for a reduced sentence, citing her lack of prior criminal history and her conduct while in custody following her 2024 indictment.

Her attorneys maintained that the time she had already served should be considered sufficient.

In August 2025, Sangha agreed to plead guilty to five federal charges.

These included providing the ketamine that led to Perry’s death, maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury.

As part of the plea agreement, Sangha also admitted to selling four vials of ketamine to Cody McLaury in 2019. McLaury died from an overdose hours later and had no connection to Perry.

Prosecutors dropped three additional counts unrelated to Perry’s case, including charges tied to ketamine distribution and one count involving methamphetamine.

Matthew Perry was found dead in the hot tub of his Pacific Palisades home following what authorities described as an apparent drowning.

During the sentencing hearing, Perry’s stepfather, Keith Morrison, addressed Sangha directly. According to The New York Times, Morrison told her: “I feel bad for you, Miss Sangha. I don’t hate you. You are a drug dealer.”

Several others were also charged in connection with the case. Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Eric Fleming, Perry’s assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, and Dr. Mark Chavez all faced charges tied to the distribution of ketamine.

Iwamasa, Fleming, and Chavez entered plea agreements in 2024. Dr. Plasencia later pleaded guilty in July 2025 to four counts related to distributing the drug.

Authorities stated that Eric Fleming acted as a middleman for Sangha, allegedly delivering 25 vials of ketamine on October 14 and another 25 vials on October 24.

Officials said Perry’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, administered injections to the actor multiple times per day between October 24 and October 27.

Investigators determined that the fatal dose of ketamine given to Perry came from Sangha’s supply.
