Kevin O’Leary Confronts Liberal Commentator After She Branded ICE as ‘White Supremacists’ on CNN [WATCH]

A heated exchange unfolded on CNN Tuesday night when investor and television personality Kevin O’Leary confronted liberal commentator Tiffany Cross over her claims that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are “White supremacists” and that members of the Proud Boys had been absorbed into federal immigration enforcement, as reported by Fox News.

The clash occurred during an episode of Newsnight, hosted by Abby Phillip, amid a broader discussion about unrest in Minneapolis following the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by a member of the United States Border Patrol.

During the segment, Cross asserted that extremist groups had effectively disappeared because, she claimed, their members had become federal immigration officers.

“There is a reason why we have not seen a resurgence of the Proud Boys, and that is because I believe a lot of them are likely made ICE officers,” Cross said.

She added that she had not seen “any deep dive reporting into who these people are,” but claimed they adopt “a lot of the ideology, a lot of the tactics, a lot of the violent tactics, a lot of the wearing masks.”

O’Leary immediately challenged the claim. “Did you just say ICE officers are militia?” he asked.

When Cross responded affirmatively and asked, “Have you not been paying attention?”

O’Leary pushed back, telling her she was stretching her argument. Cross countered by comparing ICE’s actions to those of the “Gestapo,” prompting further objections.

“I don’t think I’m stretching anything,” Cross said.

Phillip intervened, noting the lack of evidence behind the accusations. “Tiffany, you’re saying that based… you’re just making a supposition here. There’s no concrete evidence of actual Proud Boys members,” Phillip said.

O’Leary pressed Cross again, asking whether she was claiming ICE officers were part of a “Proud Boy militia.” Cross denied using that exact phrase but criticized O’Leary for disputing her assertions.

O’Leary responded by telling her she was “way offside” with the claims being made on air.

The exchange escalated when Cross alleged that ICE agents had “White supremacist tattoos.” O’Leary asked her to clarify whether she was accusing federal law enforcement officers of being White supremacists.

“Yes. White supremacists, federal officers,” Cross said. “I’m going with my eyes, ears and logic. There have been multiple ICE agents who have White supremacist tattoos.”

Following the broadcast, Fox News Digital reached out to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

The exchange ended after Cross turned her criticism toward O’Leary personally, accusing him of being part of a cult, at which point Phillip stepped in to halt the personal attacks and bring the discussion back under control.

The segment drew attention for its unsubstantiated claims and the on-air pushback from O’Leary and Phillip, highlighting ongoing tensions in media coverage surrounding federal immigration enforcement and recent law enforcement actions in Minneapolis.
