As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to be sworn in for his second term, more high-profile celebrities are voicing their support, with many participating in the inauguration festivities.
Among them is country musician Kid Rock, who shared his thoughts on the growing acceptance of Trump in Hollywood during an appearance on Fox News ahead of a pre-inauguration rally on Sunday.
Speaking about the shift in Hollywood’s stance toward Trump, Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, said, “Now they feel it’s safe to go in the water after dipping their toe in it for four to eight years. I mean, welcome to the party, like I’ve said. Better to have them on board than not. You can just tell there’s a whole change in the air.”

The rally, held at Washington D.C.’s Capital One Arena, featured performances from Kid Rock, The Village People, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Lee Greenwood.
The event set the tone for a star-studded inauguration lineup.
The list of performers for Monday’s inauguration is extensive, with notable names such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, Jason Aldean, Nelly, and Carrie Underwood set to perform.
Underwood, 41, will take center stage to perform “America the Beautiful” during Trump’s swearing-in ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda.
In a statement addressing potential backlash, Underwood said, “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event.”
Alex Bruesewitz, CEO of X Strategies and a media strategist for Trump’s team, noted a shift in how celebrities view Trump.
“He’s reclaimed that image he had his entire adult life before he ran for president—sitting courtside at New York Knicks games and lighting Kate Moss’s cigarette,” Bruesewitz told Axios.
“That Donald Trump is back, and now he’s going to the White House. It’s now socially acceptable to support it.”
Trump has also announced appointments for some of his most loyal celebrity supporters.
Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone, and Jon Voight will serve as “Special Ambassadors” to Hollywood, tasked with revitalizing the struggling entertainment industry.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said, “It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California. They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”

All three have been active in supporting Trump.
Stallone introduced Trump at a recent party at Mar-a-Lago, calling him the “second coming of George Washington.”
Gibson openly endorsed Trump days before the election while criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris.
Voight, a longtime Trump supporter, previously received the National Medal of Arts during Trump’s first term and called the president a “hero who never gave up on the American people” during Sunday’s rally.
In addition to musical performers, several other celebrities are expected to attend Monday’s inauguration, including Jake and Logan Paul, Theo Von, Bryce Hall, Caitlyn Jenner, Amber Rose, and UFC president Dana White.
The widespread celebrity participation marks a stark contrast from Trump’s first inauguration, which faced notable boycotts from Hollywood figures.
As Trump’s second term begins, the growing list of celebrity supporters highlights a cultural shift, signaling increased acceptance of his leadership among Hollywood elites and beyond.
