KJP Claims White House Press Team ‘Best in the Business,’ Triggers Social Media Backlash

Karine Jean-Pierre, the outgoing White House Press Secretary, faced a wave of criticism after claiming her communications team was the “best in the business.”

In a post on X,  Jean-Pierre shared a photo of herself with President Joe Biden and the White House press team, praising their work, as reported by Fox News.

However, the internet was less than kind in its response, with conservatives calling out the bold assertion.

Jean-Pierre captioned her post, “Here’s to the best team in the business. I couldn’t do it without you. Let’s run through the tape! #thewestwing #POTUS #WhiteHouse.”

The smiling group photo quickly became a lightning rod for criticism, as many pointed to what they see as the team’s repeated failures during Biden’s presidency.

Columnist Tim Young delivered a biting comment, noting, “It takes an army to come up with non-answers and lies.”

His sentiment was echoed by Washington Times writer Tim Murtaugh, who blasted the team, stating, “This ‘best team in the business’ lied to the world about the mental & physical fitness of the president and, ultimately, failed. Their work led to Trump’s huge win, which was a complete repudiation of everything they did in the most important jobs they’ll ever have.”

The criticism didn’t stop there. Conservative radio host Michael Berry piled on, calling the team “dumb and dumber,” adding sarcastically, “And shockingly even dumber than that.”

Fox News columnist David Marcus accused the team of actively misleading Americans about significant issues, such as Biden’s health and potential plans to pardon his son. He didn’t mince words: “I’d put a bag over my head if I were one of them.”

The Federalist’s editor-in-chief Mollie Hemingway joined the fray, arguing, “There is not an easier job in the universe than being press secretary for a Democrat. And yet somehow y’all still failed.”

Critics see her handling of tough questions and consistent defenses of Biden as emblematic of the administration’s overall approach: spin over substance.

As she prepares to leave her role, it’s clear her claim about her team being the “best” has struck a nerve. But for many Americans, the legacy of this press team is far from one of excellence.
