Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem issued a strong warning to migrants considering illegal entry into the United States, stating that they will be apprehended and deported under the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
In a video posted on X, Noem expressed gratitude to President Donald Trump for his leadership on border security and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to enforcing immigration laws.
“Thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for securing our border and putting America first,” Noem said.
“Let me deliver a message from President Trump to the world: If you are considering entering America illegally, don’t even think about it. Let me be clear: If you come to our country, and you break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the United States.”

Noem emphasized that previous administrations had failed to properly secure the border, leading to surges in drug trafficking, human smuggling, and violent crime.
She assured that the Trump administration is taking decisive action to restore safety for American citizens.
“For too long, weak leadership has left our borders wide open—flooding our communities with drugs, human trafficking, and violent criminals,” Noem stated.
“Those days are over. Under President Trump, we are defending American families and restoring their safety. If you try to enter illegally, you will be caught. You will be removed, and you will never return. Follow the law, and you’ll find opportunity. If you break it, you’ll find consequences.”

The statement comes amid a surge in immigration enforcement efforts under the Trump administration.
During President Trump’s first week back in office, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency deported approximately 7,300 illegal migrants, according to a report by Breitbart News’s Neil Munro.
The majority of those deported had been convicted of or were facing charges for crimes including robbery, rape, assault, domestic violence, drunk driving, and reckless driving.
The administration’s swift enforcement of immigration laws has led to a significant drop in illegal border crossings.
Border Czar Tom Homan highlighted the decrease in a post on X, stating that the U.S. Border Patrol encountered a total of 229 illegal aliens across the entire southwest border in a 24-hour period—down from a peak of over 11,000 daily under the Biden-Harris administration.
In the last 24 hours the US Border Patrol has encountered a total of 229 aliens across the entire southwest border. That is down from a high of over 11,000 a day under Biden. I started as a Border Patrol Agent in 1984 and I don’t remember the numbers ever being that low.…

The Trump administration has been clear in its stance that all individuals who enter the country illegally are violating U.S. law.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reinforced this position, stating that every illegal alien is committing a crime by crossing the border unlawfully.
“All of them [illegal aliens] because they illegally broke our nation’s laws, and therefore they are criminals. As far as this administration goes. I know the last administration didn’t see it that way. So it’s a big culture shift in our nation to view someone who breaks our immigration laws as a criminal, but that’s exactly what they are,” Leavitt said.

With Noem leading DHS, the administration continues to push for strict enforcement of immigration policies, vowing to remove those who enter illegally and ensure they do not return.
The renewed focus on border security is part of Trump’s broader effort to combat illegal immigration and protect American communities.
