Authorities have released the names of the eight individuals who died after a boat capsized during severe weather on Lake Tahoe on Saturday, June 21, as reported by Fox News.
Among the victims was 37-year-old Joshua Pickles, who served as the global head of strategic sourcing and procurement for DoorDash.

The boating incident occurred around 3 p.m., when emergency services were alerted to 10 individuals in the water following the capsizing of a 27-foot gold Chris-Craft vessel. The U.S. Coast Guard responded to the call alongside local fire and law enforcement agencies.
According to the Coast Guard, the boat was caught in high winds exceeding 34 mph and swells between 6 and 8 feet.

Officials say the vessel was overturned by a large wave during the outing, which had been planned to celebrate the 71st birthday of Paula Bozinovich, one of the victims.
Pickles’ wife, Jordan Sugar-Carlsgaard, confirmed the death of her husband and several family members.
“We lost my loving husband, Josh Pickles, his parents, Terry Pickles and Paula Bozinovich, and Uncle Peter Bayes, as well as friends in this tragedy,” she said in a statement.
“No words can express the pain and anguish we feel knowing their lives were lost during what was meant to be a joyful time on the lake.”
DoorDash issued a statement expressing their grief. “We are heartbroken by the tragic accident that took the life of our beloved colleague, Josh Pickles,” the company said.
“Josh loved his team and was an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him… The loss of Josh is immeasurable.”
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Division confirmed the identities of the deceased as:

The conditions of the two surviving individuals have not been disclosed.
“We are deeply grateful to the U.S. Coast Guard, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, regional law enforcement and fire agencies… and all the first responders in the search and rescue effort,” Pickles’ wife added. “We are profoundly thankful for their help in the tragic situation.”
