Leaked Photo Brought Hillary Clinton’s Closed-Door Epstein Testimony To Abrupt Halt

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s deposition on sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was temporarily halted on Thursday after Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert sent an unauthorized photograph to a conservative podcaster.

The House Oversight Committee brought the deposition to an abrupt close after Boebert sent a photograph to podcaster Benny Johnson, who posted the photograph on X, though the hearing later proceeded.

Johnson posted the photo of Clinton testifying and credited Boebert with providing it. When action had been taken, Johnson claimed that the photo was “authorized” and pointed out that Clinton had wanted the deposition to be publicized. “It was authorized,” Johnson said on X. “And it’s hilarious they’re trying to use this to weasel out of answering questions on Epstein. It was Hillary who demanded this deposition be LIVE for all to see.”

Boebert confirmed the hearing was proceeding.

“Benny did nothing wrong. Proceeding with deposition,” Boebert wrote on X.

Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, wanted to testify publicly if they were going to participate in the deposition, according to The New York Times congressional correspondent Annie Karni. Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer did not grant them that request.

The Clinton’s agreed to testify on Feb. 2 over their ties to Epstein, given that the former president was mentioned in files released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Feb 1, including a photograph of him sitting in a hot tub with Epstein. The DOJ gradually released tranches of files to comply with The Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Donald Trump signed into law in November.
