One of the most bizarre things about living in Trump’s America is how his mere existence drives some people insane.
On the one hand, seen in one way, it is sorta funny. Every move, grunt, utterance, or gesture made by Trump creates an equal and opposite reaction from the Democrats and the media. Trump knows this and often uses it to his advantage or amusement, and if you enjoy puppet shows, you might compare this to a Punch and Judy performance.
On the other hand, the insanity of half the country does have negative consequences. It’s important to have a loyal opposition that keeps the regime in power accountable, but the Democrats and Pravda are uninterested in the good of the country–they are a disloyal opposition whose only goal is destroying Trump. They are bad at it, but they do manage to gum up the works.
This latter tendency can be seen everywhere, but few instances are clearer than the Democrats rallying around Central American gang members. Drug dealers, human traffickers, pedos, and murderers are suddenly all the rage among Democrats, and nothing bothers them more than Trump even laying a hand on them, no less deporting them.

After the military dispatched a boat filled with Tren de Aragua members smuggling drugs toward the United States, the left and NeverTrump “right” went insane. There was all sorts of talk of “due process” all of a sudden, and how shocking it was that Trump authorized the destruction of a speedboat filled with poison.

Tren de Aragua is a designated terrorist organization, and rightly so. They have been conspiring to murder Americans by flooding our country with poison for years, contributing to the death of hundreds of thousands.
This isn’t even in dispute, at least not by sane people.
The fact that some want to treat Venezuelan drug traffickers as criminals in need of due process, even when in international waters after leaving Venezuela, gives you just a hint of why so many Americans voted for Donald Trump in 2024.

The destruction of that speedboat took place in international waters–it had left Venezuelan waters and had not entered those of any other country. The inhabitants of that boat, as members of Tren de Aragua, were not under the jurisdiction of any particular country, and as terrorists, they were legitimate targets. So Trump took them out.

Obama used his presidential powers to designate people terrorists all the time–including American citizens–and drone strike them so often that he bragged that he was good at killing people.

None of the people objecting to Trump’s actions seemed to have any problem with that. Instead, they gloried in his Nobel Peace Prize.

But Trump. Trump’s mere existence has suddenly made MS-13 and Tren de Aragua members heroes to the left. Pravda Media figures defend the takeover of apartment complexes by Venezuelan terrorists as no big deal because Trump opposes them.

Drug smuggling is not a minor issue. 100,000 Americans a year die from drug overdoses, and treating smugglers like ordinary shoplifters has led to a crisis. I think we all know that if Biden or Obama had done something similar, all of these people would be applauding like trained seals.

But Trump’s existence has rendered them lobotomized. The Democrats and Pravda are now bound and determined to support drug smugglers because Trump opposes them.
