Liberals Squander First Chance To Learn From 2020 Mistakes

“We can stop setting cities on fire any time we want to. We just don’t want to. Also, no riots are happening. But if they were, it’d be a good thing.” So goes the Democrat Party’s communications strategy. Running cover for far-left lunatics might’ve worked in years past. But 2020’s “Summer of Love” burned up more than cop cars and small businesses. It incinerated the left’s last shreds of cultural capital. The politics of our decade, much less our century, are still taking shape. No one is less prepared to meet it than Democrats. 

Public appetite for riots – and illegal migration – is at an all time low. Especially among immigrants. “No group has become more hawkish on immigration & shifted to the GOP than immigrants,” CNN pollster Harry Enten admitted. Immigrants gave Democrats a +32 net point approval rating in 2020. Today, immigrants have swung forty points towards Republicans.  Nary a “brown square” can be found on the Instagram feeds of supermodels and celebrities.
