In a case that feels like a troubling echo of recent headlines, a Florida woman is now facing serious legal consequences after threatening Blue Cross Blue Shield over a denied medical claim.

As reported by The Gateway Pundit, Briana Boston, 42, of Lakeland, allegedly mimicked language connected to the recent assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, leading to her arrest.

A Florida woman was arrested this week after allegedly threatening a health insurance provider.

Lakeland police said the woman became increasingly upset during the call, which she ended with, “Delay, deny, depose. You people are next.” pic.twitter.com/v9MVwK3zUa

Boston reportedly lashed out during a recorded phone call with Blue Cross Blue Shield after her medical claim was denied.

“Delay, deny, depose. You people are next,” she said, referencing a chilling phrase recently found on shell casings at the crime scene of Thompson’s murder.

That high-profile case remains under investigation, with authorities having uncovered shell casings engraved with the words “Deny, Defend, Depose.”

According to an arrest affidavit, Boston has been charged with making a written threat to kill or injure, including planning a mass shooting or act of terrorism. If convicted, she could face up to 15 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.

Boston, who denies owning any firearms, admitted to police that she made the statement during a moment of frustration. She told investigators that the phrase had been on her mind because of its recent prominence in the media following the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s murder.

Boston apologized but now finds herself entangled in a serious legal battle.

Boston’s words came at a time when frustration with healthcare companies is at an all-time high. As reported by Fox 13 News, she made the threats during a phone call to dispute the denial of her medical claim.

Law enforcement authorities, sensitive to the heightened tensions following the assassination of Thompson, took her comments seriously.

While Boston claims the words were used out of anger and without intent to act, the phrase “Delay, deny, depose” has gained notoriety as a symbol of frustration with the healthcare industry’s perceived indifference toward patients.

Boston’s threats eerily parallel the language of Luigi Mangione, the suspected killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. While investigators continue to piece together the motive behind that heinous act, the ripple effects have put the healthcare industry and law enforcement on high alert.

The timing of Boston’s comments, alongside her acknowledgment of using a phrase tied to an ongoing investigation, highlights the dangers of inflammatory rhetoric in an era where tensions are already simmering.

This case underscores the frustrations many Americans face when dealing with the labyrinth of health insurance bureaucracy. However, threatening violence is not the answer. The rule of law must prevail, even as the healthcare system’s inefficiencies continue to stoke public outrage.

It’s clear that the policies of some insurance companies, often criticized for prioritizing claim denials, continue to frustrate many Americans. However, Boston’s response went beyond acceptable limits, and she must now face the legal consequences of her actions.
