Mamdani’s Socialist Agenda Begins Slow-Motion Implosion

The voters of New York City are about as savvy as middle-schoolers. Think back to your 5th grade student body president election. A well-liked kid promises pizza parties, no homework, nothing less than a revolt against the tyranny of teachers and administrators. He gets elected. He delivers on nothing. His peers develop collective amnesia and elect the same guy next year. 

We’re currently at the “teacher puts her foot down” phase. Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul reportedly dismissed a critical piece of Zohran Mamdani’s platform to reporters. Mamdani, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), is the Democratic mayor-elect of New York City.
