Mark Levin isn’t one to throw around compliments lightly, but when someone on the left actually acknowledges reality, he takes notice.
That’s exactly what happened when sports commentator Stephen A. Smith dismantled Joy Behar’s tired anti-Trump spin on The View, as reported by The Blaze.
Despite his past alignment with the Democratic Party, Smith has shown he’s not a blind partisan. Levin, who has known Smith for years, described him as a friend and someone who doesn’t buy into radical leftist nonsense.

“He’s not a radical; he’s not a leftist. I know him; he’s a friend of mine,” Levin remarked, recalling how Smith approached him two decades ago to express admiration for his radio show.
During a recent episode of The View, Smith didn’t hold back when Behar tried to dismiss President Donald Trump’s overwhelming victory.
In her typical condescending tone, she downplayed Trump’s win, mocking the idea of a mandate and falsely claiming he barely won the popular vote.
“So Trump’s only been in office for six weeks. Seems like six years, doesn’t it?” Behar snarked.

“And he’s been going around with his cronies touting his so-called landslide and blowout win, but he won the popular vote by 1.5%, one of the smallest ever, and he won the general election by less than 50%, so what kind of mandate is this, really?”
That’s when Smith set the record straight.
“It is a mandate, and I’m gonna explain why. And I don’t mind the question, but let me be very clear. I’m no supporter of Trump. I’m a supporter of truth and the facts, and here’s the facts: The man won every swing state; he increased in terms of his voter turnout and his favor from the standpoint of blacks, Latinos, and young voters; he increased his numbers in that regard from 2020; 89% of the counties shifted to the right. That’s a mandate.”
Smith also pointed out something the media refuses to acknowledge: this was the first time in 20 years that Republicans won the national popular vote. That fact alone destroys the left’s narrative.

Behar, clearly irritated by the truth, tried another angle. “Do you think those groups—the black voters, the Latino voters, and the others that you mentioned—are they going to regret it soon?”
Smith responded, “Possibly. I don’t like what I’m seeing from Trump … but in the end, what it comes down to is this: The American people, in their eyes, it wasn’t about him. They were voting against what the Democrats were throwing in their direction.”
While Levin appreciated Smith’s honesty, he disagreed with the idea that Americans voted for Trump just to reject the Democrats.
“People voted for Trump, I think, more than not, but of course we voted against the Democrats too, because they’re crazy bastards.”
He went on to emphasize that Trump’s appeal isn’t just about opposition to the left—it’s about common sense policies that actually work.
While Democrats push radical agendas that alienate everyday Americans, Trump ran on restoring order, strengthening the economy, and defending American values.
