On a recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the host delivered a scathing critique of the conduct displayed by several Democratic senators during a hearing.
Kelly described their behavior as undignified and counterproductive, singling out specific individuals for what she perceived as unprofessional and ineffective performances.
“The story of the day was how some of these Democrat senators embarrassed themselves,” Kelly said.
“I was humiliated for some. Why do the women always have to be so shitty? Why do the women have to be like these hysterical fools? Why can’t they be more dignified?”

Kelly reserved her harshest words for Sen. Tim Kaine, whom she labeled “the worst.”
“Tim Kaine was the worst, I should say that up front—the worst, the most disgusting, I should say. But he wasn’t like an hysteric,” Kelly remarked.
She also criticized Sen. Mazie Hirono, calling her intelligence into question. “Mazie Hirono is so dumb I can’t believe she’s a US senator,” Kelly said.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand also came under fire for her comments during the hearing.
“Kirsten Gillibrand was like, ‘Women can be in combat. You’ve hurt our feelings.’ Like, oh my God, you are undermining the very cause that I know you so desperately want to promote right now,” Kelly added.
“So I was embarrassed for them. I was embarrassed for my sex and how they were behaving today.”
Kelly also addressed Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin, a former CIA officer, who participated in the hearing.
While acknowledging Slotkin’s impressive background, Kelly was unimpressed by her demeanor.
“Then there was Slotkin, who’s the newest Democrat over on the left side. And while her background sounded impressive—she’d been with the CIA and so on—she was so annoying. Oh, I know you’ve genuflected, okay, you’ve done your genuflection to Donald Trump,” Kelly said, mimicking Slotkin’s tone.
Kelly contrasted the Democrats’ approach with that of skilled cross-examiners, using former Rep. Trey Gowdy as an example of how to conduct oneself effectively during a hearing.
“There’s a way of doing cross-examination where you don’t wind up the least likable between the person you’re crossing and yourself,” Kelly explained.
“And obviously, these people, most of them, haven’t done it. You can tell the difference. You know, like you see a Trey Gowdy cross-examination, you think, ‘He’s the man. That guy knows what he’s doing.’ You see these people try to do it, you’re like, are you trying to make me hate you? Like, I’m not inclined to hate you just because you’re a Dem or against Pete. You’re just behaving like a prick.”

Kelly’s comments reflect broader frustrations with what she described as the senators’ inability to present themselves as credible or likable during the hearing.
Her critique highlights the importance of composure and professionalism, particularly in high-stakes political settings.
As the hearing continues to generate discussion, Kelly’s remarks add another layer to the debate over the performance and effectiveness of lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.
