Megyn Kelly Says ‘To Save The Republic, Give Them A Taste Of Their Own Medicine’ [WATCH]
Megyn Kelly has called on President-elect Donald Trump to respond in kind to the legal and political tactics Democrats have used against him over the past eight years.
Speaking on her show Friday, Kelly argued that Democrats would regret weaponizing the legal system, known as “lawfare,” to target Trump, his businesses, and even his family.
“Dems will rue the day they decided to use lawfare,” Kelly said. “The only way to save the Republic now is to give them a taste of their own medicine.”

Kelly specifically suggested that Trump and his allies explore legal actions against figures such as Joe Biden, former President Barack Obama, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Kelly detailed how Democrats have aggressively pursued Trump, citing lawsuits and investigations that have dominated headlines.
She proposed that similar strategies could be applied to hold key Democratic figures accountable for alleged crimes, including revisiting cases that may have previously fallen outside statutes of limitations.
“These Democrats will rue the day they decided to use lawfare to stop a presidential candidate,” Kelly told her audience. “I’m not talking about violence. I’m talking about tit for tat. You just wait, and it won’t be Hunter Biden the next time. It’s going to be Joe Biden. It could potentially still be Barack Obama. It could still potentially be Hillary Clinton.”
Kelly referenced the E. Jean Carroll lawsuit against Trump, which was made possible by a New York law reviving expired claims. She argued that Republicans should consider passing similar legislation to pursue alleged crimes committed by Democrats.
“We’re going to have to look at what the statutes of limitations are on the various crimes they surely committed,” Kelly said. “We’re going to have to look at passing laws to revive those dead crimes, felonies, or misdemeanors so that those cases can be brought out of time. That’s what may be in the interests of justice.”
Kelly cited legal scholar John Yoo, a former Bush administration Justice Department official, who has been vocal about the dangers of lawfare. Yoo has argued for months that Democrats’ legal tactics against Trump represent a dangerous precedent and has encouraged Republicans to push back.
“Turnabout is fair play,” Kelly said, referencing Yoo’s commentary. “The only way to save the Republic now is to give them a taste of their own medicine.”
Yoo has previously stated that the left’s relentless legal maneuvers are not only unethical but could undermine public trust in the justice system.
In June, he urged Trump to take a firm stand against what he described as the lawlessness of these efforts.
Despite the sustained legal and political attacks, Trump remains a dominant figure in American politics. Kelly emphasized that Democrats’ efforts to weaken him have ultimately failed.
“The lawless left has done everything they can, no matter how unethical or wicked, in their attempts to destroy President Trump and break his will,” Kelly said. “It didn’t work. Trump is still standing.”

As Trump prepares for his next term, Kelly and others argue that fighting back against these legal tactics may be necessary to prevent further abuses of the justice system.
