Megyn Kelly had an amusing near-encounter with Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl, adding yet another headline to an event already packed with drama.
The former Fox News journalist recounted her awkward moment on The Megyn Kelly Show, explaining how she almost barged in on the pop star in the restroom.
As reported by The Daily Mail, Kelly, attending the game in New Orleans, recalled walking into what she thought was the correct women’s restroom when she encountered a woman standing nearby. Assuming she was waiting in line, Kelly asked, “Oh, are you in line?” only to be told, “No.”

When she moved toward a stall, the woman warned her that someone was inside. That “someone” turned out to be none other than Taylor Swift. As Kelly attempted to open the door, she heard a frantic, “Oh no no!” and quickly realized she had almost walked in on the singer.
After the minor mishap, Kelly found the correct bathroom and laughed about the situation, relieved she hadn’t made headlines for barging in on Swift mid-game.
She then posted:
“Bumped into a true winner at the Super Bowl. Thank you Mr. President!”

While the Chiefs faced a crushing 22-40 defeat, Swift had her own troubles. When she appeared on the jumbotron inside Caesars Superdome, the reaction was far from the usual fawning applause.
Instead, the stadium erupted in boos. The pop star seemed taken aback, throwing a side-eye glance in response to the crowd’s hostility.
Lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling analyzed Swift’s reaction and claimed the singer muttered, “Aww, what? What’s going on?” after hearing the jeers.

Perhaps Swift’s public romance with Travis Kelce or her well-documented political endorsements didn’t sit well with the largely Eagles-supporting crowd.
Former President Donald Trump, never one to miss an opportunity, took to Truth Social to highlight the moment.
Fresh off making history as the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, Trump posted:
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
Adding insult to injury, Trump shared a video comparing Swift’s chilly reception to the raucous cheers he received when he was shown on the jumbotron. The contrast was stark, and Trump made sure to highlight it.
The night wasn’t just rough for Swift—it was brutal for Travis Kelce as well. The Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss crushed their dreams of making history with a three-peat. Cameras caught Kelce on the verge of tears as he left the field.
To make matters worse, his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole made a point of celebrating with the victorious Philadelphia Eagles. According to sources close to Kelce, the tight end was aware of Swift’s booing incident and felt “helpless.”
“Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him,” a source claimed.

Adding to the pile-on, Trump’s jab at Swift didn’t sit well with Kelce either. The same source said Kelce found it unnecessary, especially given his public acknowledgment that he was honored to have a president attend the game.
Between the Chiefs’ devastating loss, Swift’s frosty reception, and her recent Grammy snub, the couple hasn’t exactly been riding high. But according to insiders, Kelce remains focused on what truly matters—his relationship with Swift.

“It hasn’t been a good week for them, but he knows that even though this isn’t the season ending he wanted, having her love gives him joy.”
As for Megyn Kelly, she at least walked away from the Super Bowl with a fun story to tell—one that thankfully didn’t involve making national news for an accidental bathroom intrusion.
