Melania arrived at St. John’s Church and the U.S. Capitol wearing a sharp, eye-catching dark navy coat. A delicate white blouse popped out from underneath her picture-perfect outfit. She completed her look with a statement piece — a matching, wide-brimmed hat that boasted a crisp, white stripe. The former model’s stunning outfit was courtesy of two American designers. Her dark pencil skirt and coat ensemble was designed by Adam Lippes, and Eric Javits took credit for the hat that people will be talking about for years to come.

“The tradition of the presidential inauguration embodies the beauty of American democracy and today we had the honor to dress our first lady, Mrs. Melania Trump,” Lippes said in a statement issued to Vanity Fair, Jan 20.
“Mrs. Trump’s outfit was created by some of America’s finest craftsmen and I take great pride in showing such work to the world.”
Melania’s outfit was hand-sewn in New York City, the brand said, and was met with rave reviews on social media.

Megyn Kelly applauded Melania’s cutting-edge fashion choice.
“Look at Melania Trump. The most elegant, stylish, beautiful First Lady ever,” she wrote on X.
Kelly took a jab at the fashion world, saying that the First Lady’s sense of style would not be recognized and embraced by them.
