According to Rosenhaus, the altercation occurred approximately one block from the stadium and was resolved quickly, allowing Hill to join his team for the game. “This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident about one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police,” the Dolphins stated. ”

The incident, which unfolded around 10:30 a.m. ET, did not prevent Hill from participating in the game, which kicked off at 1 p.m. ET.
Hill, an eight-time Pro Bowler who has become one of the NFL’s top receivers, is entering his third season with the Dolphins. His career in Miami started in 2022 after a high-profile trade from the Kansas City Chiefs, where he initially entered the league as a fifth-round draft pick.
Last season, Hill led the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards, alongside 119 receptions and 13 touchdowns.
His performance earned him the top spot in the player-voted NFL Top 100 earlier this offseason.
In a strategic move last month, Hill agreed to a restructured contract with the Dolphins, securing $90 million over the next three seasons, with $65 million guaranteed.
This contract adjustment reflects both his value to the team and his expected contributions in the coming years.
The brief detention did not dampen the spirits at Hard Rock Stadium, as Hill was seen gearing up for the game following the incident.
The Dolphins and their fans are looking forward to another standout season from Hill, whose on-field prowess continues to captivate the NFL audience.
