Concerns over repeat violent offenders and the role of local judges and prosecutors are drawing renewed attention following a discussion between commentator Benny Johnson and legal analyst Mike Davis, who pointed to specific cases and broader patterns in cities across the United States.

Johnson opened the discussion by focusing on the role of state-level judicial systems in releasing repeat offenders, referencing a case in which an individual was released multiple times despite prior arrests.

“I’m worried about the state level, because it is the state level that released this man 14 different times,” Johnson said.

“And we know some of the judges who did it, including the last judge, after a promissory note saying, I promise, I promise never to murder again.”

Johnson described the circumstances surrounding the release, adding, “Like that’s what he said. He wrote that on a napkin, and the judge said, ” You’re free. Right Way to go.”

He also raised questions about potential financial incentives tied to rehabilitation programs and repeat releases.

“You’re welcome to go into any of the clinics, of course, that my family runs that we get state dollars for the whole thing,” Johnson said.

“Seems like a massive racket, Mike, to release as many violent criminals back onto the street as possible.”

Johnson continued, “Seems like Somali fraud level racket where these same judges are involved in rehab centers that then take that that then Bill the taxpayers for the rehabilitation of these animals and then put them back on the street to murder again.”

He then asked Davis to respond to what he described as systemic issues at the local level.

“Can you speak to sort of the woke rot that is inside of the like these local level judicial systems?” Johnson said.

Davis responded by pointing to what he described as ideological influences shaping decisions by some prosecutors and judges.

“Yeah, you see these with these Soros funded prosecutors, these Soros funded judges,” Davis said.

“They are left wing, they are Marxist, they are anarchist, and their goal is to create misery in our society.”

Davis continued, “They want our cities destroyed. They want capitalism to fail. They want America to fail. They want the West to fail.”

He argued that such outcomes would be used to justify broader systemic changes.

“And when we have just absolute misery in our cities and across our country,” Davis said, “that’s when they’re going to use it as their opportunity to replace capitalism with Marxism.”

Davis added that he views the situation as part of a broader historical pattern.

“And this isn’t some theory. This is what they’ve been doing. The Marxists have been doing for the last 100 years,” he said.

“100 million people dead over the last 100 years, and this is their playbook.”

He also referenced billionaire George Soros while discussing the issue.

“George Soros is doing this,” Davis said.

“You’re seeing this in cities across America, like in DC suburbs, where we have Fairfax County, da REL, releasing violent criminals.”

Davis pointed to local courts and prosecutors as key decision-makers in the release of offenders.

“The judges are releasing violent criminals,” he said.

“And until you throw these prosecutors, until you throw these judges out of office, until we hold them politically accountable, until we name and shame these bastards. Nothing’s going to change.”

He emphasized the need for public accountability.

“These these judges and these prosecutors need to feel the political heat,” Davis said.

“They need to be named in shames. They need to be shamed in their communities and until they until they have an attitude adjustment about this.”

Davis also referenced a specific case involving a violent crime.

“Because it’s, it’s unacceptable that this monster was in jail 14 times,” he said.

“I don’t give a damn if he has schizophrenia, if he’s crazy, put him in a mental hospital, but he should not have been on the street to slash this young, beautiful woman’s throat on a public transit system in Charlotte.”
