On Thursday, MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski delivered a fiery monologue accusing former President Donald Trump of endangering women’s lives, claiming that his policies are putting their health and safety at risk.
The comments were spurred by an article in The Atlantic, published ahead of the 2024 presidential election, which made several controversial claims about Trump, including allegations that he admires Hitler’s generals and has made disparaging remarks about military service members.
Brzezinski’s remarks focused on Trump’s handling of women’s reproductive rights, suggesting that his policies are “killing” women by restricting access to necessary healthcare. “He is putting us at risk. He is making us afraid to have babies. He is putting our reproductive health at risk, and some women have died already because of this,” Brzezinski said during her impassioned segment.
NEW: A furious Mika Brzezinski loses it, says Trump is “k*lling women,” lashes out at “idiots” who are questioning The Atlantic’s anti-Trump reporting.
This is not what someone who thinks their side is winning sounds like.

The article in The Atlantic also contained explosive allegations that Trump had used derogatory language about U.S. Army Specialist Vanessa Guillén, who was murdered in 2020.
The report claimed that Trump refused to pay for Guillén’s funeral, using offensive language about her Mexican heritage.
According to the article, Trump was reportedly outraged over the cost of the funeral, saying, “It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a [expletive] Mexican!”
However, the article was met with swift backlash from Vanessa Guillén’s family.
Mayra Guillén, Vanessa’s sister, took to social media to refute the claims made in The Atlantic, stating that Trump had shown respect and support for their family during their time of grief.
She also criticized the politicization of her sister’s death, clarifying that she had voted for Trump in 2024.
Wow.
I don’t appreciate how you are exploiting my sister’s death for politics- hurtful & disrespectful to the important changes she made for service members. President Donald Trump did nothing but show respect to my family & Vanessa. In fact, I voted for President Trump today. https://t.co/o8cDrKOKBV— Mayra Guillen (@mguilen_) October 22, 2024
