MSNBC Bloodbath Continues, Hitting Most of Rachel Maddow’s Staff Hard

I feel like Nelson Muntz from The Simpsons right now. 

You know, the bully with a nasty laugh who makes fun of people experiencing bad fortune, especially bad fortune caused by his actions.

Unfortunately I can’t take personal credit for this amusing and entirely justified purging of MSNBC racists, sexists, and heterophobes, but I can still enjoy their misfortune and know that together we conservatives made this happen.

I know it is a sin to take pleasure in people’s misfortune, but MSNBC is a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

In other words, they are getting their just deserts. MSNBC is the chief brainwasher of the susceptible on the left, poisoning the minds of millions (or less, I have to admit, now that their audience is shrinking by the day). They are liars, propagandists, purveyors of genuine misinformation, and should be deported to a country they would prefer, like Cuba or Venezuela. Unfortunately, that would be illegal and, I have to admit, contrary to my own values which embrace freedom of speech and thought. 

But it sure would be satisfying. 

MSNBC has reportedly informed a majority of staffers who work on Rachel Maddow’s primetime opinion show that they are being let go as part of the network’s restructuring that resulted in the cancellation of Joy Reid’s program as well as those of other hosts.

The Comcast-owned, left-leaning channel told Maddow staffers, who also worked on the other canceled shows including “Alex Wagner Tonight,” that they have the option of applying for new roles at the network or accepting a severance payout, according to the news site Guardian.

While the fired employees can, technically, apply for other jobs within the network, the fact is that such jobs are scarce for the very same reason they are being fired: the network is in freefall. 

A network insider reached by The Post denied that the move constituted layoffs. The network insists that the shakeup was a reallocation of resources to support the network’s evolving priorities, according to the source who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The network source told The Post that affected employees will have the first opportunity to apply for the newly available positions before any roles are opened to external candidates.

Despite these reassurances, the manner in which the changes are being implemented — requiring employees to reapply for jobs they already held — has raised concerns, the Guardian reported.

Well duh. “Sorry guys, you gotta go because we have no money. But reapply for the jobs you just got fired for” doesn’t sound encouraging. 

Maddow is the top performer at MSNBC, but only gets a fraction–less than half–of the viewers that Sean Hannity gets in the same time slot. 

CNN seems to be in even worse shape, if you can believe it. Perhaps because they are a Temu (cheap Chinese knockoff) version of MSNBC. 

Maddow is said to be very dependent on her staff, but I have no direct experience to verify that. If so, this will be a major blow to her, not just her staff.
