A recent MSNBC segment filmed outside a Home Depot in Los Angeles has drawn backlash after the network’s reporter framed ongoing federal immigration enforcement as racially motivated, while defending the presence of illegal immigrants in the city.

During the live report, the MSNBC correspondent commented on the demographic makeup of Los Angeles, stating, “There are more people of color that live in Los Angeles than white people, at this point, and many of those people are undocumented.”

🚨 NEW — MSNBC “reporter” goes on a completely unhinged, pro-illegal alien screed — while standing on the corner of a Home Depot where ICE detained and arrested numerous illegal aliens this morning:

The statement was made in the context of the ongoing unrest triggered by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids across the city.

The report comes amid escalating protests that began over the weekend in response to immigration enforcement actions targeting individuals already under active deportation orders.

According to ICE officials, the operations were part of a broader nationwide enforcement effort ordered by the Department of Homeland Security.

Federal officers began arresting individuals with final removal orders in various parts of Los Angeles on Friday.

The actions prompted protests throughout the weekend, some of which turned violent.

Demonstrators clashed with law enforcement, set fires to vehicles, and looted several businesses in the downtown area.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported ongoing damage and said multiple arrests have been made.

In response to the growing unrest, President Donald Trump authorized the federal deployment of National Guard personnel to assist local and federal law enforcement.

The Pentagon later confirmed that U.S. Marines would also be mobilized to protect federal facilities and personnel in high-risk zones.

This administration will not be intimidated by lawlessness.

We will stand by the FBI agents tracking down violent criminals, by the guardsmen, local police, and Marines restoring order, and by the ICE agents enforcing our immigration laws.

A spokesperson for ICE said the agency will continue enforcing existing immigration law and will not be scaling back efforts in response to demonstrations.

“We are targeting individuals who have final orders of removal issued by a judge,” the spokesperson said.

“Our focus remains on those who pose public safety threats.”

Border Czar Tom Homan, in a separate interview with Fox News, confirmed that more than 100 ICE teams were deployed across the city.

Homan stated the operations would continue for the foreseeable future and emphasized that sanctuary city policies had forced ICE to conduct more field operations.

“We could arrest them in the safety and security of the county jail,” Homan said.

“But they won’t let us in the jail. They release them into the community.”

“Oh, ICE ain’t leaving,” says @RealTomHoman on LA.

“We’re going to be there tonight. We’re going to be there tomorrow. We’re going to be there every day in the next four years arresting public safety threats and illegal aliens — and we’re not going to apologize for doing it.” pic.twitter.com/TTgQUm1E2O

Polling conducted in recent months indicates that a majority of Americans, including a growing number of Latino voters, support stronger immigration enforcement and deportation of individuals in the country unlawfully.

The findings contradict narratives suggesting widespread public opposition to ICE operations.

Meanwhile, local officials including Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass have voiced opposition to the federal response.

Newsom called the deployment of the National Guard “unlawful” and demanded that the administration rescind the order and return control to the state.

This is 100% a Trump manufactured crisis.

Despite objections from state officials and national media coverage, ICE operations are expected to continue throughout the week.

Law enforcement agencies are urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity as additional federal resources are moved into the region.
