Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk issued a blunt warning on social media after a viral TikTok video appeared to show a Somali TikTok user making a threatening remark about his life, a claim the woman at the center of the video now says was taken out of context, as reported by the Gateway Pundit.
The controversy began after a clip circulated widely online showing a TikTok user livestreaming while playing a video of Musk on her phone.
After speaking briefly in a non-English language, the woman switched to English and said, “I wouldn’t worry too much about him. He about to die.”
The somali tiktoker who mocked Americans had a meltdown over Elon Musk and appeared to threaten his life:

The woman in the livestream was later identified as Fardowsa Muhumed. Publicly available profiles describe Muhumed as a graduate of KIPP Kansas City.
Biographical information associated with the network states that she attended Frontier STEM High School and KIPP Kansas City and planned to pursue a pre-med track at the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
According to those profiles, Muhumed has expressed an interest in working in medicine to address racial inequities faced by refugee mothers in the healthcare system.
The materials also describe her as academically high-achieving and civically involved, noting participation in healthcare exposure programs, organizing a cultural fashion show to highlight diversity at her school, volunteering as a translator for families, working nearly 20 hours a week, and helping care for family members.
Following Musk’s response, Utah Senator Mike Lee weighed in on social media, writing, “Deport her immediately. She shouldn’t be here.”
In the days after the clip went viral, Muhumed released a video statement disputing the interpretation of her remarks and saying she never intended to threaten Musk.
“If you told me a week ago that my name and Elon Musk’s name would be spoken in the same breath, I wouldn’t have believed you,” Muhumed said.
“On December 31, 2025, my life took a tragic turn. I was badly misinterpreted and misheard in a non-viral clip.”
She continued, “I want to make myself clear: I never intended or even aimed to threaten the life of Elon Musk. I am not a person who carries hate.”
Muhumed said the clip was taken from a longer livestream and edited in a way that removed context.
According to her account, she was responding to questions from supporters about Musk’s health after photos of him in swim shorts circulated online.
“My intention was never to mock, insult, or be cruel in any way,” she said. “As a person gets older, health becomes more important, and it is something we should all take seriously and treat with care.”
She also criticized Musk for reposting the clip multiple times, including once with the caption “Wonderful people,” and later with the statement “Then it is war.”
“This entire situation has put me in real danger,” Muhumed said. “My private information is being shared all over the internet, and I have received an endless number of threats because of this miscommunication.”
As of publication, Musk has not issued further clarification about his post, and no law enforcement action has been announced related to the video.
