Musk’s Final Warning to Government Workers Sparks Liberal Meltdown [WATCH]

Elon Musk isn’t backing down from his demand for federal employees to prove they actually do their jobs. The billionaire tech mogul made it clear on Monday that any government worker who ignores a second request to outline their accomplishments will be shown the door.

As reported by The New York Post, Musk’s warning came after the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) tried to soften the impact of an initial directive sent Saturday.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, speaks during a South by Southwest panel in Austin in 2018. SpaceX is planning a rocket engine production facility near Waco, Musk said on social media Saturday.

That email required federal employees to submit five bullet points detailing their work over the past five days.

OPM, scrambling to control the narrative, quickly reassured agency human resource departments that the request was voluntary and that failure to respond would not be considered a resignation—directly contradicting Musk’s stance.

Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to blast the lack of response.

“The email request was utterly trivial, as the standard for passing the test was to type some words and press send!”

“Yet so many failed even that inane test, urged on in some cases by their managers.”

Despite the bureaucratic resistance, Musk made it clear that those who ignored the initial request would get one last chance. “Subject to the discretion of the President, they will be given another chance,” he posted.

“Failure to respond a second time will result in termination.”

Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was created under President Trump to cut through federal bloat and restore accountability.

According to Musk, the outrage from career bureaucrats over something as simple as proving they did their jobs is proof that the government workforce is broken. “Absurd that a 5 min email generates this level of concern! Something is deeply wrong.”

“I thought it was great because we have people that don’t show up to work and nobody even knows if they work for the government,” Trump said from the Oval Office.

“What he’s doing is saying ‘Are you actually working?’”

The move has, predictably, sparked legal backlash. An amended lawsuit, filed in San Francisco federal court, argues that the administration’s effort to fire federal workers who fail to respond lacks proper procedural steps under the Administrative Procedure Act.

The suit claims some agencies, including the FBI, instructed employees to ignore the request entirely.

Musk wasn’t impressed. In response to reports of lawsuits over the accountability emails, he fired back on X, writing, “They [Federal workers] hate even the tiniest amount of accountability”

One thing is clear: the days of unaccountable, invisible bureaucrats coasting through their careers may be coming to an end—whether they like it or not.
