Nancy Mace Left Injured After Confrontation with Pro-Tr*ns Supporter [WATCH]

U.S. Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) revealed Tuesday evening that she was “physically accosted” on Capitol Hill by an individual identified as a pro-transgender activist.

The congresswoman, known for her outspoken criticism of gender ideology, disclosed the incident in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“I was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight by a pro-tr*ns man. One new brace for my wrist and some ice for my arm and it’ll heal just fine,” Mace wrote.

She further noted that an arrest had been made in connection with the incident.

Mace continued her post with a defiant tone: “Your tr*ns violence and threats on my life will only make me double down. FAFO,” she concluded, using the acronym for “f**k around and find out,” alongside the hashtag “HoldTheLine.”

The U.S. Capitol Police confirmed that the altercation occurred shortly before 6 p.m. in the Rayburn House Office Building.

According to a statement from the department, 33-year-old James McIntyre of Illinois was taken into custody for assaulting a government official.

The department’s Threat Assessment Section reported that McIntyre had entered the Rayburn Building after passing through a routine security screening.

The building was open to the public at the time of the incident. McIntyre was arrested following an interview with Capitol Police and now faces charges related to the assault.

The incident comes as Mace continues to champion legislation aimed at barring male transgender-identifying individuals from using women’s bathrooms at the Capitol.

The bill, introduced last month, has drawn sharp criticism from Democrats, who have accused Mace of targeting Rep.-Elect Sarah McBride (D-DE), the first openly transgender member of Congress.

Mace has rejected these claims, emphasizing that her proposed legislation is rooted in safety concerns.

“I’m not going to allow biological men into women’s private spaces,” Mace stated in an interview with ABC News last month. “I will stand in the brink and stand in the way of anyone on the radical left who thinks that it’s okay for a penis to be in a women’s locker room or a bathroom or a changing room. Hell no. I’m not going to stand for it.”

She further highlighted her personal perspective as a survivor of sexual assault, saying, “This is not okay. I’m a survivor of rape, I’m a survivor of sexual abuse, and I’m not going to allow any man in any female private space. End of story.”

Since introducing the legislation, Mace has faced numerous death threats, which she has shared on social media.

During a recent appearance on Fox News, Mace expressed frustration at the backlash.

“It’s sad and surprising that in 2024 I have to go on TV and on social media to explain to the radical left that men shouldn’t be allowed in women’s restrooms, that women shouldn’t be forced to undress in front of men,” she said.

Mace’s bill seeks to prohibit “members, officers, and employees of the House from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes,” according to the legislation’s text.

Despite the threats and Tuesday’s assault, Mace remains steadfast in her efforts. “The insanity, the radical left, are willing to kill women over a man’s right to be in a women’s restroom,” she said.
