The Trump White House and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) issued sharp denials following an NBC News report suggesting changes were being considered for how President Donald Trump receives the President’s Daily Brief (PDB).
.@NBCNews ran with this fake news story that was absurd on its face based on anonymous sources “familiar” — DESPITE receiving on-record quotes from the White House, ODNI, and CIA saying this was BS.
This is a great example of why no one trusts the legacy media. https://t.co/PWFjfiapvE

NBC News reported that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard had solicited feedback from current and former intelligence officials regarding potential adjustments to the format of the PDB.
The report, citing four unnamed sources, claimed that one idea being considered was delivering the PDB in a video format resembling a Fox News broadcast, with the goal of improving “trust in the material.”
According to NBC, since President Trump’s second inauguration, he has received the PDB an average of less than once per week, based on his public schedule.

In response to the article, Gabbard’s office issued a strong rebuke.
“This so-called ‘reporting’ is laughable, absurd, and flat-out false,” said Olivia Coleman, press secretary for the Director of National Intelligence.
“In true fake news fashion, NBC is publishing yet another anonymously sourced false story.”
The Trump White House also weighed in. Spokesman Davis Ingle dismissed the report entirely, calling it “libelous garbage from unnamed sources.”
“President Trump has assembled a world-class intelligence team who he is constantly communicating with and receiving real time updates on all pressing national security issues,” Ingle said.
“Ensuring the safety and security of the American people is President Trump’s number one priority.”
An official familiar with internal ODNI deliberations also pushed back on NBC’s reporting, saying the topic of modernizing the PDB had bipartisan interest during Gabbard’s Senate confirmation hearings.
“There was bipartisan consensus that the PDB was in need of serious reform,” the source said.
“DNI Gabbard is leading that reform and is ensuring the President receives timely, relevant, objective intelligence reporting.”
NBC’s article included a quote from one anonymous source who claimed the issue was President Trump’s reading habits.
“The problem with Trump is that he doesn’t read,” the source said.
“He’s on broadcast all the time.”
The individuals cited in the article reportedly spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss internal discussions.
Gabbard’s deputy chief of staff, Alexa Henning, issued a public response on social media, directly criticizing the NBC reporters responsible for the story.
“Ok stop me if you’ve heard this before,” Henning wrote.
“NBC News was given numerous on record quotes from ODNI, WH and CIA and they still used numerous ‘anonymous sources’ to justify publishing a false story.”
She added, “NBC is a failing outlet with zero on-air talent and even more worthless reporters.”

If you wanted to be actual journalists which – lol of course you don’t – you’d do research and know that during Tulsi Gabbard’s confirmation process there was bi-partisan agreement on SSCI that the PDB sucked and it needed to be changed.

Officials from the Central Intelligence Agency also confirmed that no changes to the PDB’s format were being implemented.
The PDB is a classified intelligence document prepared each day for the President and key members of the national security team.
It typically contains critical updates on global threats and developments, often including both written material and visuals such as maps and graphics.
The content and format can vary depending on the administration’s preferences, but any alterations typically require close coordination with intelligence agencies.
No further comment was issued by NBC News following the denials from multiple federal agencies.
