New Jersey Governor’s Race About All Tied Up, Jersey Mikie’s Panic Attacks Getting Fugly

With all the attention focused on the ugliness of Virginia Democratic candidates, now causing a once commanding lead to slip away from Abigail Spanberger and company, you would think her former roommate, New Jersey Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill, would be treading a tad more carefully in her own contest. After all, Sherrill hasn’t exactly been blazing her own stumble-free path to glory, with her miraculous wealth accumulation once she hit Congress, her ethics fines, a ghastly debut debate performance, revelations aplenty about her Naval Academy disgrace, and now, dang if there aren’t accusations of Chinese influence money going to her political action committee.

🚨 BREAKING: Reps. Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill reportedly took tens of thousands of dollars from a businessman tied to the Chinese Communist Party — who’s even a CCP member himself.

— The Black MAGA Preacher (@WellsJorda89710) October 14, 2025

The man in question, a Mr. Pin Ni, is described as a ‘top backer’ of Sherrill’s campaign.

A Chinese auto executive and an active member of the Chinese Communist Party donated over $65,000 to New Jersey Democratic gubernatorial candidate Rep. Mikie Sherrill’s campaign, according to state campaign finance disclosures. Those donations may very well be illegal: The law bans foreign nationals from donating to U.S. political campaigns.

The executive, Pin Ni, leads the U.S. subsidiary of the Hangzhou, China-based automotive and industrial powerhouse Wanxiang Group. He wrote two checks in the amount of $30,000 in February and July, respectively, to the super PAC supporting Sherrill’s campaign. In June, Ni made a maximum contribution of $5,800 directly to Sherrill’s campaign.

The Federal Election Campaign Act prohibits foreign nationals from donating to state and federal political campaigns, and Chinese law prohibits CCP members from holding foreign citizenship.

Ni’s donations, which were reported in filings with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission this week, make him one of the top contributors to Sherrill’s election effort and represent the only donations he has made in New Jersey.

…But the donations are a cause for concern regardless of whether they comply with the law, according to experts interviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. The CCP, they said, has long sought to increase Chinese influence in the United States through economic and political means.

“It is astounding that as a former Naval officer, U.S. Attorney, civilian lawyer, and now federal lawmaker with national security clearances, and one who knows the China threat, Sherrill would turn a blind eye to this violation of federal law and likely CCP influence operation,” said Joseph Cella, a cofounder of the Michigan-China Economic and Security Review Group.

Yeah. It’s definitely ‘not a good look,’ especially for a former federal prosecutor who should be on top of these things, and particularly as her sense of ethics is already under fire for some pretty eye-opening lapses in, at the very least, good judgment.

My honest impression of everything I’ve seen and heard is that Sherrill is a Democrat shill, and that’s about it. I’m not sure there’s any there there. She was horrible at the first debate, again, much like her roommate Spanberger’s recent disastrous outing. Sherrill had nothing but canned talking points, and Jack Ciattarelli skewered her every time she responded with not only zingers that drew blood but facts, figures, and a coherent summation of his vision for whatever the subject of the question had been.

Sherrill seems incapable of articulating plans of any sort, even when she’s in an interview situation and has a friendly interrogator. She flubs it terribly.

Why did New Jersey have to move from energy independence to cripplingly expensive, unreliable renewables?

You can’t make this stuff up!

Your electric bill has tripled … however, if you are not willing to do as Mikie Sherrill says … You are somehow a bad person.

Mikie Sherrill, the Democrat candidate for Governor of New Jersey really said this.

We need to move into clean power. It’s gonna cost you an arm and a leg, but if you’re a good person you’ll do it, said Mikie Sherrill.

So, it stands to reason, that what Sherrill is actually saying is that if you don’t want to pay an unnecessary fortune for energy costs … that you are a bad person.

IF YOU’RE A GOOD PERSON YOU’LL DO IT

The truth is that even if you hate it, the state is going to force you, so shut up.

Don’t take it from us, take it from @MikieSherrill herself.

She said her energy policies will cost New Jersey families “an arm and a leg.”

Folks in a diner asked Jack Ciattarelli (who’s been doing his own NJ Diner Tour while Sherrill does tiny, controlled events) an off-the-cuff ‘What are you gonna do about my $600 electric bill?‘ question, and got a policy answer. Which, let me note, had nothing to do with offshore wind.

This is all Sherrill’s got.

Mikie, honey, you are literally the “same-old same-old” from the last eight years. Literally.

And it’s killing her campaign.

Democrats are peeling away to loudly and proudly endorse Ciattarelli.

Ramaswamy’s coming in to do a diner barnstorming stop with Jack. That should be a royal hoot.

…Covid Arch-Ghoul Gretchen Whitmer is coming this week to stump for Mikie Sherrill. On Wednesday, Vivek Ramaswamy will join Jack Ciattarelli at the Saddle Brook Diner at 6:45 PM.

…Ciattarelli’s diner barnstorm (he claims to have already hit over 600 during the 2025 cycle) stands in stark contrast to Sherrill’s preference for small, controlled events.

That personal touch and having real answers ready when residents ask has the race tied.

Interestingly enough, Sherrill’s two top positives in the polling are ‘military veteran,’ and ‘she’s a Democrat.’

WHUT

As Rick Shafton says in his notes on the research:

…The two top characteristics are weak and mentioned disproportionately among those who have a mixed opinion, and that’s a big problem because big parts of her base know relatively little about her. And because they know very little about her, they’re not going to persuade many people. When your message is ‘Helicopter Pilot, Democrat, Hates Trump‘ people want to know what else is there.

And that becomes a problem when you look at her unfavorables, which once solidified will become deadly.

Sherrill obviously knows this as well, because she has leveled an astounding whopper in a panicked attempt to save her campaign that is getting her sued for defamation.

That Jack Ciattarelli literally killed thousands of New Jerseyans.

Mikie Sherrill went in for the kill Wednesday night by accusing Jack Ciattarelli of being a killer.

The shocking moment came about 40 minutes into the final gubernatorial debate between Sherrill, a congresswoman and Democrat, and Ciattarelli, a Republican trying for the third time to make it to Drumthwacket.

A moderator had just asked the would-be governors how they would bring jobs to New Jersey. Sherrill used her answer to question Ciattarelli’s bona fides as a businessman and claim he made millions publishing propaganda for the opioid industry. And then:

“I think you’re trying to divert from the fact that you killed tens of thousands of people by printing your misinformation, your propaganda,” Sherrill said to him. “Families across this state deserve to know more about that.”

Ciattarelli previously owned a medical publishing firm.

…Some of Sherrill’s accusations appear related to a 2021 Star-Ledger story by Ted Sherman about Ciattarelli’s medical publishing firm, which published material for medical professionals licensed and accredited by the University of Tennessee and funded with grants from the pharmaceutical industry. One of those pieces said the risk of opioid misuse is low among patients with chronic pain but no preexisting substance abuse disorders. Ciattarelli sold the firm in 2017.

Ciarelli’s company didn’t write the material. The firm published what they received from licensed medical professionals.

……This goes beyond campaign rhetoric and sensational claims. There is a difference between accusing your opponent of being a corrupt politician and being Pol Pot. Under this theory, all those contracting to print or ship material for these companies are also mass killers…

— Jonathan Turley (@JonathanTurley) October 14, 2025

Incensed about the opioid crisis and Ciattarelli’s culpability for murder, as Sherrill is pretending to be, it didn’t stop her from taking campaign money from the very firms that directly manufactured the drugs.

…Mikie Sherrill’s “Hail Mary” play for Election 2025 down the final three-week stretch has been to slanderously accuse Jack Ciattarelli of killing thousands of Americans (!) since his former publishing company printed medical materials for pharmaceutical companies (!!) that produced opioids. By that logic? The guy who invented locomotives is also responsible for the Holocaust. Insane. And clearly defamatory.

But it’s worse than all that.

Not only is the Sherrill campaign’s desperate attack a lie, but in a Sherrillian twist, the Democrat Congresswoman has reportedly accepted THOUSANDS of dollars from companies linked to the Opioid Crisis including “at least $4,500 from the Teva Pharmaceuticals PAC, $1,000 from the Endo Pharmaceuticals PAC and $17,000 from Johnson & Johnson”; the grand total from this sector is at least $25,500.

This woman is really awful about vetting the sources of her funding.

As local New Jersey political analyst Rich Zeoli says, this attack is a Sherrill last gasp in a race she should have won with an 850,000 Democratic voter registration advantage.

.@Jack4NJ is winning the race for governor and while I’ve seen candidates go low, I have never seen his opponent go so lose as to accuse him of…wait for it…murder! This is desperate and beyond ridiculous. https://t.co/BPtFbNETO0

— Rich Zeoli 🇺🇸 (@Richzeoli) October 15, 2025

But, wow – what a party, no?

In Virginia, the Democratic candidates fantasize about murdering Republican rivals and their families.

In New Jersey, they accuse Republican opponents of being mass murderers even as they take money from the very companies the opposition murdered for.

I guess when you’ve got nuthin’, you have to come up with sumpthin’.

Get out there and, voye, New Jersey!

The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its insane progressive, radical agenda.
